Hodge Podge Sweetery
721 W 19th St, Houston, Texas 77008
MY REVIEW: Quaint little mom & pop business in a house off Shepherd near the Heights. Small selection of sweets to choose from (brownies, cookies, cupcakes, etc.), with a few little tables at which to enjoy them and various tea/coffee offerings. Cupcakes were okay, but don't come anywhere close to Cr*a*ve. Still, if you need a fix and don't want to leave the area, they weren't bad. Tried several flavors, and the best that day was snickerdoodle. Also bought a "cowboy" cookie and a few chunky chocolate chip ones. Lady who served me (possibly the owner) said they were made with Bisquick(!), but they weren't bad. Just different. I happen to prefer crunchy cookies and these certainly fit that bill.
