MY REVIEW: I noticed at the table next to me 4 guys ordered breakfast items even though it was a little past noon. Everything looked really good.

I had a lunch combination plate special consisting of excellent beef taco & beef enchilada. Rice was ok, nothing special. Refried beans lacked any rich, deep flavor. But for only $4.75, this was a pretty good lunch. On a previous visit I also tried a tamale and an order of guacamole, both were good.

Their spicey, but smooth green sauce is addictive. Service is good, place is clean and prices are cheap--this place is a keeper!

MY REVIEW: This location has had so many restaurants over the years its hard to keep up now. This new Mexican place is a good fit. Its right in the middle of restaurant row on upper Bay Area, and Space Center Blvd. I really liked the breakfast. The eggs ranchero were cooked just right and were not watery. The sauce was just right for my tastes. The beans, fried potatoes, bacon and hot tortillas set the plate off. The only downside was that the bacon was deep fried. This KILLS the saltiness and texture of bacon. Why places do this is beyond me. The service was excellent and attentive. The owner ( I assume) came by twice to ask if all was well. My waitress made sure all was ok, and was very pleasant. Good, hot, fresh, breakfast food at a great price. Hopefully the apts surrounding this place will support it as well as the Nasa crowd.

MY REVIEW: This building has been the kiss-of-death for several retaurants that weren't bad. Mucho Jalisco's Mex Mex (my terminology, not theirs) concept may just make it where pizza, burgers and seafood have not. Their sign says, "Authenic Mex Grill", and maybe it is (I don't know, I've always been confused about what differentiates Tex Mex from Mex Mex??).

All I know is, I liked my meal today enough to want to come back. Rather than go with a combo plate for lunch, I opted for 4 ala carte items so I could sample several things. Two tacos really stood out: barbacoa and pastor--both were on soft corn tortillas and both bursting with deep, rich flavor. A chicken fajita taco on flour was fine except the meat didn't have the char flavor that I look for in fajita chicken. Same goes for the beef fajita gorditas. Both fajita meats were tender, just not a smokey as I would like.

Red sauce is interesting, but green sauce is stellar--silky smooth but firey hot, it goes so well on the pork and chicken.

This place is super clean and neat as a pin. Workers from near-by offices, mostly males, were beginning to stream in as I was leaving. I'll return to try some of the $4.75 lunch specials and will avoid the fajita-style meats next time.

MY REVIEW: This little Mexican food restautant has only been open for about a month. We went for lunch today for the first time. For some reason, restaurants in this location do not last long. I hope this one stays open for a while because the food is delicious! Lunch specials start at only $4.75! Don't let the low price fool you, they are very filling, plenty of food. My co-workers had the Chile Relleno and the Agave (1/2 order chicken quesadilla & beef fajita taco). I had the cheese enchilada and beef taco. These meals were accompanied by rice & beans. Everything we had was excellent! The place is tastfully decorated and the service is spot on, wait staff is very friendly. We will be back!
