Pepper Jacks Mexican Grill and Cantina (CLOSED)

MY REVIEW: Nothing exciting here. C*bo was far better. Prices are too high for what you get. Server was clueless and it took too long... don't go if you only have an hour. Somthing you'd think they'd get downtown.

C*bo was on the pricer side but their tacos, fish, and burgers/sandwiches were good quality, a good amount, you got the value. Here I'm not seeing the value even at C*bo prices -- and these are higher.

MY REVIEW: Was very anxious to try the C*abo "replacement". It looks very similar on both the outside and inside and the menu is very similar as well. However, the prices seem to be higher than I remember at C*abo. The service was prompt and friendly...the chips and salsa were ok. Our food came out quickly. I ordered the shrimp burrito and for $8+, I expected more shrimp. The burrito was mostly lettuce and sour cream. My friend ordered grilled fish tacos. There was literally about a teaspoon of fish in each of her fish tacos. Again, more lettuce than anything else. Sadly, I won't be back. Why can't Downtown get (and keep) a good Mexican restaurant??
