MY REVIEW: My first impression was $7.65 seemed a bit much for a sandwich, but that changed as soon as the courteous young man began piling the sliced brisket onto the sandwich. Also, that price included a side, which for me was another very generous portion of their signature Cheesy Potatoes.

The sandwich had enough of the thick slices for two sandwiches. The brisket was nice and tender. Not quite moist enough to eat without sauce, but really nice. The sauce itself tasted like a cross between Texas and Carolina sauces – fairly thin with a nice “tang” to it without being sweet. I enjoyed it. The bun was buttered (maybe oiled?) and toasted. It was more than acceptable. The potatoes were delicious – small cubes of potato coated in a creamy, cheesy coating. I would probably go back just for those.

The pulled pork, chopped brisket, and chicken all looked good. (The ribs were in the back, and I’ve learned not to judge sausage by looks alone).

Pros: Very generous portions; Good value; Tender brisket; Tangy sauce; Nice bun; Stellar cheesy potatoes.

Cons: Not much ambience (like so many places in this area, it’s in a strip center).

Overall: Definitely worth another visit.

MY REVIEW: This is really, really good BBQ and the sides are amazing. We have tried the slaw & potato salad, but the best is definitely the 'cheesy' potatoes. The chopped BBQ sandwich is huge, very generous with the meat, and the bun is so fresh. Have not tried dessert but the banana pudding is on our wish list.
