MY REVIEW: Well, I read the reviews here. Very negative. And I read the reviews in Yelp. Very positive. Then a good friend told me that she heard it was great. So with only minor trepidation...
We had a harder time finding a parking space, and there appeared to be a LOT of folks there. We came on a Saturday night. However, we were seated in about 3 minutes, as they were furiously cleaning tables. (I would note that on the way out the line was out the door - you will see why...) The place is VERY clean. You are seated to a service with a large metal plate, 8 smaller bowls around the periphery, two cups (one for water, and one for a buttermilk that is very interesting...).
The service was amazing. Immediately, we got four "chutney" like accoutrements. Then, servers came with the veggies, and soups, fried prakora, etc. The person who went home hungry in the review below must not have liked the food, which to us was delicious. It is definitely vegetarian, but probably more difficult for a vegan. The food is spicy, and very well cooked. That which should have been was hot, and that which should have been cold was.
The owner came by twice, and the manager once. They were definitely working the tables. While this might seem a bit pricier than some restaurants in Houston, it was definitely not our of line for what we got. (about $21 per person, including a 20% tip).
Not only will we be going back, we will bring family and friends. Houston is fortunate to have such a unique restaurant. This is part of a chain, with the other 3 locations in India (2), and in Dubai.

MY REVIEW: Worst dining experience of my life as a vegan of 25 years. There is no menu. The wait staff comes around and gives you a tablespoon of food at a time, mostly sauces to go on rice which was served late. I paid $20 for the least amount of food I've ever received in a restaurant. I could have gotten a better meal and more food for $2 at Taco Bell. If you don't eat dairy there is virtually nothing to eat, but they don't bother to tell you that when you request non-dairy. Service was bad. I waited 15 minutes after my first tablespoon of beans, green mush with 5 pieces of corn, one tablespoon of cabbage, a small tortilla, a 50 cent piece-sized deep fried something, and rice--the rest was sauces. I had to ask wait staff twice if someone would please bring me a little more to eat. Our table had to ask for everything--several times, including more water, served in a 6 oz. glass. No desserts or salads and only milk served with this lack of food--and all for $20.

MY REVIEW: Decent Food, High Price, Bad Service.
The food is decent and there is lots of variety. They should convert this to a buffet to make it work better. You end up waiting for a long time to get anything. And some items never show up again. When we went even the water guy came only once to our table. The staff needs more training to understand their signals to get the items.

MY REVIEW: It was a mixed experience..the whole experience of being served everything at your table was interesting since the only other place U know that serves at your table is B*hojan but they only serve Rotis.
this place has a good variety but the taste was mediocre & prior exposure to Rajasthani cuisine helps.
It was extremely crowded on the sunday afternoon when we went though we managed to get seated within a few mins..we came to know that people who were coming later were asked to wait 30 mins.
The servers had a harrowing time serving all the customers..& often we had to wait like 5 mins for our next roti !
There were hardly any desserts..& the price was on the pricey side..overall a mediocre place..which may not justify the price but still worth a try ..

MY REVIEW: It was my birthday so my family decided to throw a party at newly opened Indian restaurent. This is one of the biggest mistake I have ever made is to go new place without reading any review but anyway, as the name suggest it must have been gigantic feelings. And to the extent yes we were so happy with the interior and freshness of the new place. Obviously, I took a camera and wanted to take a family picture so I stood up to adjust my setting and wanted to ask owner (who was closeby) to take our family picture. To my surprise, the owner got furious and forced me to sit down and said " we don't allow photography". This gave me and my family very bad taste to begin with but I was keeping my calm as my kids were watching me. The owner came and said there is some misunderstanding which I could never understand. But seems like they need to go through some cultural training if they need to survive in the food industries.
On the Food : The food is very spicy. If they give you choice: go with non spicy first and if you take it go to the next level.
