MY REVIEW: We live near the West University store and have been there several times but the reality is that S*outhwell's has a considerably better and cheaper product. Also locally owned and operated but the portions are bigger and the food is certainly as good if not better.
I don't know if this counts for anything but Jerry Built uses a considerable amount of paper and cardboard for their dine in customers. That just seems flat out wasteful and, as i described to one of my kids, that paper and cardboard are not free.
Both restaurants are acceptable but if portion size matters, S*outhwell's gets the nod from us without question.

MY REVIEW: I really wanted to like this place - it's a convenient location for me, and I really like the overall decore/layout. They seem to be trying really hard. But the burgers are terrible! They're more like dry, squishy sausage patties. My husband and I joke that the only thing Jerrybuilt has done is remind us to stop in at T*hree Brothers once in a while. Seriously, the buns and gingerbread cow cookies at Jerrybuilt (from T*hree Brothers) are awesome. If Jerrybuilt could take their buns, but use chicken breasts from G*oode Co taqueria (not the nasty ground up chicken burger that they're selling now) and use hamburger patties from B*eck's (or maybe anywhere else in town - even M*cDonalds would be better) - then this place would be great. Sadly, I have to say, don't waste your money. :-(

MY REVIEW: Shakes were awesome. Fries were pretty good. The burger was almost inedible - the spice combo they integrate into the meat is NOT GOOD. My sister had the same comment on her chicken burger - which was unfortunately a ground up chicken patty with a not good spice combo. Will not be back unless it is for fries and shakes only! So disappointed b/c it looks like it has so much potential.

MY REVIEW: Nice atmosphere. Burger was rubbery and tasteless, sweet potato fries had probably been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile as they were dark and shriveled. Might go back but probably not.

MY REVIEW: New burger place in West U area. What does it say about a restaurant if the noteworthy gimmick is the sink you use to wash your hands in the middle of the dining room? The burgers are average - to put it kindly. For $5.50 you get a 1/4 burger that has mediocre to no taste and significantly more bun than meat - not exactly a decent value. They talk about their fresh produce, but it's just not enough to overcome the main course. The fresh crinkle-cut fries are pretty good. But that's not reason enough as far as i'm concerned. It's conventient, but I can come up with 5-7 places I'd rather get a burger within 3 miles of here.

MY REVIEW: Fun, innovative, modern, clean, and pleasant atmostphere. Good food! Courteous employees. The blackboard wall for the kids is a great idea - it clearly had been enjoyed by many... Got burgers and sweet potato fries (burgers average size and large helping of fries). Buns are closer to "French" sytle buns than normal cheap buns. Jalapeno cream cheese on burger is a winner! Also has a neato hand washing station. Will def return!
