Paradise Biryani Pointe

MY REVIEW: Was driving by Hilcroft after work. My gaze was fixed on the Paradize Biryani logo as I was approaching US 59. I had good memories from the original Hyderabad/Secunderabad Restaurant from my previous visit. Ordered Biryani and Tandoori Chicken for take home, while sipping the delicious ginger tea. Wifi and kids liked it so much that I am eager to visit the place once more. Hope the eatery maintains the quality. All five star except, the meat is very little compared to the size of the dish. Overall a pleasant surprise and I recommend any one to try it out for a real hyderabad flavor among the low quality indo/pak restaurants in the vicinity.

MY REVIEW: Extremely dissatisfoied with this restaurant. Traveled from San Antonio to attend a concert.Heard good stuff on TV therefore we dicided to eat at Paradise. Here are the bad stuff-
1. Restaurant staff had poor customer service, not once they came and asked if we need water or everything was ok, had to call them to serve water, got half a glass of water with 2 pieces of ice.
2. ordered plate of onion pakoras, they were old, crunchy, hard, and had to chew on it (nasty stuff).
ordered goat biriyani and dum ka gosht, under rice there were only 4 pieces of goat bones hardly any meat. Dum ka gosht had 4 pieces of meat with bowl full of gravy. Price was high in that area restaurant. Never will go close to Paradise Restaurant ever again. Cheap service, nasty food, and high price.

MY REVIEW: Loved their biryani, but quality is not the same as it used to be.
The other day I saw a gentleman having (which looked) really good goat curry. It was very dark like other goat curries. I pointed it out and said I would like to have that also. The manager by mistake made chicken curry with tomatoes (it was a red curry). I said I wanted the goat curry. He brought me a red tomato sauce with goat pieces and said it was goat curry. I think he just took goat meat from the biryani, poured the chicken curry sauce over it and gave it to me. Will not be going there again. The food is not that good anymore anyway.

MY REVIEW: Excellent dum goat biryani. Same taste as the one I had in Secunderabad. Above average spicy. Goat meat could be more generous. Great service. Could use more ventillation to remove the cooking smell. As far as biryani is concerned, a five star!

MY REVIEW: I ordered for 2 plates of goat biryani and 2 plates of chicken biryani for pick up from the new location at Hillcroft, Houston. Never mind it was expensive but the mutton/chicken was too less to say it was a biryani of meats. Only two small pieces of meat were found in each pack of four plates and that too did not taste well. Definition of Biryani means half meat and half rice hence it did not qualify to be called a Biryani. Really very disappointed. I think strict management supervision is needed in the kitchen to see the situation. Prices are to be reviewed to match to the other competitors who sell at good price for a good quantity. Also Packs need to be changed.

MY REVIEW: Being a real original Hyderabadi, I was excited to see this restaurant in Houston with their parent restaurant having a great history and is a jewel of Hyderabad. I went a day after it opened and jeez the place was a mess. Orders were taking long time, chairs were poor quality, sofas are torn and the cleaning people not listening to their employers and above all food being spilled on chairs and sofas. However food was good (mainly the biryani). I went again second time and this time they seemed to have fixed their sofas and quality of food and service was very good. This made me go third time and I again saw the food being spilled on the sofas and chairs so you need to watch before you sit on tehm. You expect appetizers before main entry but it happens in reverse, support staff being little impatient while taking orders and are too stressed out and probably overworked. Biryani quality has gone down, was too bland and seemed to have too much Dalda or Ghee with no taste of spice which might be liked by the American crowd. Cut Mirchi, Gobi Manchurian are too oily and the oil was not drained. Their curries (mainly mirchi ka salan) were good unlike many Indian restaurants which put too much cream. Naans are really good and are soft. However the pricing is decent, not expensive and I would still do a take home order than eating in the restaurant. They need to work little on their atmosphere and keep the place clean to be a much successful place

MY REVIEW: The best Biryani I have had outside of India. Generally the biryanis in Indian restaurants are so oily that it oozes, and the rice is hard, maybe because it is old rice, or they don't know how to cook it so err on the side of keeping it undercooked. But in this place the rice was perfect, the gostmeat was falling-off-the-bone tender and so tasty. Pity they don't sell that goatmeat concoction separately.
The quantity of the biryani was good and the thin buttermilk raita is perfect accompaniment. They should put some pickles also.
Very good experience. Can't wait to take my son and recommend to others. The only Indian food outside of India that I have liked, and authentic. No Americanisation ruining the taste and authenticity. Hope they keep it up.

MY REVIEW: We tried Chicken 65 and Chicken Biryani. Very disappointing! No aromas/flavour/taste, could not see trace of any spice whatsoever! Biryani was just white salted rice with Chicken pieces!!
We are not going there again.

MY REVIEW: Me and wife visited during one the week day. We ordered 1) Dal Fry $8.99 2) @ Garlic Nans each $2.99 and 3)Veg Biryani $7.99. We found food very tasty but thought Dal Fry was TOO EXPENSIVE for the portion served. We felt that $2.99 for one garlic naan was slightly on the higher side. The biryani portion was more than enough for 2 people. The total bill for 2 of us came to around $23.
As far as ambiance and general impression is concerned, it is GOOD - no complaints. Enough seating and all the tables were cleaned and no tables were left to be cleaned. They have written on their menu that t will/may take 20-25 minutes to serve the food but our food came in less than 15 minutes.
Overall, GOOD. Will visit again and will try non-veg biryani.
