Artisans Restaurant
3201 Louisiana St, Houston, Texas 77006
MY REVIEW: Our group of four girls selected this restaurant to celebrate The Christmas season together. We all started with a soup and they were all delicious and served piping hot! Our entrees were delicious, too. Three of us had the trio creme burlee and it was spectacular. Jacques Fox, the chef, always makes time to come to say hello.

MY REVIEW: I took my husband to Artisan's for his birthday on Friday, July 6. We have been 3 times before and love it. We had the 5 course meal and it was fantastic! We love sitting at the open bar table concept that overlooks the kitchen. The chef, Jacques, stops by to talk to the customers. On our to-do list is to try the 5-course with the wine pairings. This is a must-go-to restaurant for anyone who likes great food.

MY REVIEW: This must be one, if not the best restaurant in Houston. My wife and I had dinner there last night (May 19, 2012) and had the 5 course sampler, and each course was heavenly and a gastronomic delight with each bite. This restaurant deserves to be a Michelin 2 Star + rated restaurant. The service was exceptional as well.

MY REVIEW: Why You'll Love It
- French-native Executive Chef Jacques Fox’s much-lauded “French Eclectic” menu
- Brand-new restaurant from the brothers behind Le M*istral, Chef David Denis and Sylvain Denis
- Open kitchen to witness culinary artistry first hand
You’ve probably already heard the buzz about Artisans Restaurant—that its fine French fare and five-star service are seriously upping the ante on Midtown dining. But word-of-mouth can’t capture the vibrant atmosphere on par with the most romantic Parisian street. That side of the story can only be experienced first hand.
Sit along the open kitchen with a date and watch the virtuoso chefs craft your pistachio-crusted Chilean Seabass from locally sourced ingredients. Or, take over the private dining room for a celebratory cheer of “bon appetit!” Either way, you’ll leave this soon-to-be Houston staple decidedly in-the-know.

MY REVIEW: This past Friday, my wife and I tried this new restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, meal and service. Walking into the place, we spied the bar to the right and although we did not have a drink there, we marked it for our next occasion. The restaurant has an open kitchen concept, allowing one to see the chef and the entire staff hard at work. Needless to say, there is a lot of action going on! There are several choices in dining location – at a counter-like setting looking directly into the kitchen, or bar-height tables just a bit further back allowing diners to face one another while still being able to see the kitchen activity, or at standard dining tables in the main area near the front door.
For dinner, we selected the Chef’s Tasting Menu, which was a good way to sample the offering of this new establishment. There are two entrees, two main courses and dessert. All wonderful! Paired with a bottle each of sauvignon blanc and pinot noir, both very reasonably priced.
Service was very good – informative on the selections, attentive and yet unobtrusive.
Will definitely return!

MY REVIEW: Wow! Chef Jacques has a beautiful, open concept space in which to enjoy the best French-inspired cuisine I have had in Houston. Every plate of our 6-course meal was elegantly prepared, and the sauces were to die for. Service was exceptional for pre-grand opening, so things can only get better here. It is worth the drive to midtown to experience it.
