Fainmous BBQ
10400 S Post Oak Rd, Houston, Texas 77035
MY REVIEW: I had the pulled pork tonight and the chopped beef. Both were truly amazing. The beef was strong but it was the pulled pork that was worth the trip. There is nothing that I have found in the Houston area that does it this well. The prices might be to low honestly. Don't let the location fool you great bbq can be done anywhere.

MY REVIEW: I went to try the pulled pork. The owner, Jaime Fain is from east Tennessee where their normal barbeque is pulled pork (shoulder/butt). Fain's pulled pork is cooked over hickory for 12hrs. It was excellent !! I'm a native Texan so I always have my BBQ sauce served on the side. Jaime's sauces are mild & spicy but both are Texas style (ketchup style) not the Tennessee style that's vinegar based. I asked him to offer the Tenn style sauce next time so I can get the whole Tennessee pulled pork experience. The cold slaw was sweet (with carrots) but to runny with too much dressing.

MY REVIEW: Good call firtsstrike!! Very good BBQ , moist, falling apart brisket, my daughter loved the sausage. I had the spicy bbq sauce and the kids had the regular bbq sauce, good taste very flavorful. Kind of hard to find, between Aarons and Krogers in the far corner.

MY REVIEW: Stumbled across this place by accident next to the Kroger on So. Post Oak. If is new so we thought we would try it.
Wow! Ordered the brisket and sausage. Meat was smokey, moist and falling apart tender. Sausage was smokey and slightly spicy also. Got potato salad and coleslaw, both of which which seemed to be homemade. Beans were baked. Good if you like that style. Have two sauces, not sweet. One with just a hint of spice, the other HOT. Location is clean and bright. Just has a plastic banner up right now and is hard to see from Post oak. Have already been back.
