Hot Bowl Mongolian Grill

MY REVIEW: I'm very impressed with this restaurant! We've lived in this area for over 10 years and prior to this place opening up there used to be a C*liff's Old Fashioned Grill which became a weekend stop for us...but unfortunately they closed shop...so one day I noticed this place popping up in it's place but was reluctant to try it because of negative experiences in other similar type restaurants. But one day a coupon arrived in the mail and my wife wanted to give it a try so i said "what the heck". Well I was pleasantly surprised! We were greeted by a very pleasant young lady who educated us on how to choose our food. They give you two bowls...one for the veggies and one for your protein (meat, shrimp,etc) and a erasable form in which you choose your starch..rice, udon noodles, etc. Once you make all your selections and this includes a very generous selection of marinades, seasonings & sauces..you present it to the cook who whips it all up on this huge grill! You...of course wait patiently at your table and they bring it to you piping hot and cooked fresh! What a novel concept! The food is excellent of course because you choose the fixin's and how you want it to taste! And the price is very reasonable! The ambience is very nice and it's not so busy where you have to wait...but busy enough to indicate a restaurant that is becoming very popular! I don't find myself missing C*liff's as much anymore! Highly recommended! And very healthy too!

MY REVIEW: First visit, very friendly and attentive service. I thought their instructions were easier to understand then their competition, resulting in a much tastier meal and very reasonable considering the amount of seafood (slmost could be all the food I saw I ate). I will return.

MY REVIEW: Two of us had lunch during their Grand Opening week. Just as good as other Mongolian-type restaurants where you choose your own starch, vegetables, proteins, and seasonings that you want grilled. Economical, healthy, and the wait staff is friendly. Had seafood selections beyond the normal fish and shrimp, including mussels and squid! The only difference is they allow you to choose 2 starches instead of just one. Will definitely return soon!
