Keeper's Japanese Restaurant & Bar

MY REVIEW: Keeper is fabulous! It must have some affiliation with with Sushi King because they have very similar options. Even my friend who doesnt like sushi found a roll here that she liked. The service can be kind of slow at times, but it is worth the wait! Keepers is decorated nicely, chic classy ambiance, and the food is excellent! Try it out. we are BIG fans of J*apanieros, and we like it just as much. This is a hidden gem!

MY REVIEW: Nice decor and attentive service. Good selections for lunch. I had the Sushi B combo which was 12 pieces of 3 types of sushi. The sushi was good and had I not just tried another Japanese restaurant at the Fountains in Stafford last week, I would have been totally satisfied. The other restaurant's sushi seemed fresher and the prices were about 1/3 less for lunch.

MY REVIEW: I have been to Keeper's multiple times over the last few months since I first found it. My impression of the place is Better every time I go. The food has been excellent and the service superb. It was refreshing to find a place close to where I live with good quality sushi. I must say that I never like posting reviews but I was forced to after reading what was said about the restaurant. I highly recommended for anyone that like me use to drive to downtown Houston for good quality sushi.

MY REVIEW: Only reviewing their non-sushi selections, if that's your interest pay no mind to this review. We went for an early dinner on a Saturday. Restaurant was pretty empty given the time of day.

Pros : employees were very friendly. Decor was nice. Food (chicken teriyaki, salmon, and some noodle dish) tasted fine, although it wasn't amazing.

Cons : they forgot to bring our salad and soup before our meal. Had to remind them once we received our entrees. The quantity of food for the price was poor in my opinion. Pretty sure everyone left a little hungry (and at least 2 of the 3 in our party are not large eaters).

We probably won't return.
