Pig Out Barbeque
306 Grand Ave, Bacliff, Texas 77518
MY REVIEW: A husband and wife team serve reliable sliced brisket out of this tiny store that sits all alone on Bacliff's main drag. I tend to judge a BBQ joint by its sliced brisket, so I ordered a sandwich. It was piled high with very tender, very smokey brisket. Came with a side of delicious homemade potato salad. It's getting hard to find good potato salad these days, and this gave T-Bone T*om's a run for its money. And for $2 I got part of a link sausage, that was just so-so, but was helped along by a lot of smokiness. Not sure, but I suspect they must be using mesquite to get that intense flavor so deep into the meat. While there was no smoke ring that I could see, the sliced was moist, tender and flavorable. This postage stamp joint has one table inside and a couple outside, so be prepared to order take-out.
