Tandoori Garden: Indian & Nepali Cuisine
2002 Fry Rd, Houston, Texas 77084
MY REVIEW: Yum. My husband and I tried it today for lunch. Although it is in an older strip center, the interior is fresh and new and very upscale. For lunch they offer a buffet, for dinner, items are a la carte.
Buffet had chicken tikka and it was delicious. If they'd have scooped out the sauce for me, I'd have eaten it as soup. Saag Paneer was wonderful, to me it was a slightly spicy creamed spinach, with 1 delicious bite of homemade curd cheese. A cumin spiced mixed lentil dish was very tasty. Also offered were pulao rice, a vegetable fritter, tandoori chicken, goat curry and a vegetable of the day. There were two desserts, a basmati rice pudding and a ball that was kind of like cake donut in syrup. In addition, there were 3 sauces, tamarind, yogurt raita and one more which I didn't try.
We were full when we left and when we return, it will be for the buffet. I do not know if it is the same each day or if other items are offered. Definitely worth a second visit.
