MY REVIEW: Went to have dinner with my husband after work. First thing I asked for was a Margarita (no liquor permit yet) People were leaving to buy alchohol and bring it back to the table-They should put a sign on the door so people will decide to stay or go elsewhere. The tables are so crowded, when they took us to our table my chair could not be moved so I can get it because the person behind me was sitting okay and close to their table, but the tables are too too close-it was crazy not sure how the waitress expected us to slide in the chair-I would have to literally be a skeleton to slide in there. The food is good but too expensive. The cute little blue dishes they serve the beans in are really cute but the rice should just be placed on the plate to avoid so much space taken from your little bitty table-1 blue dish for the beans is sufficiently cute. The waitstaff was nice and they were nice enough to Thank us on the way out and told us to come back-which was sweet. The place is way too small for the amount of people that will be going there-not sure what solution they can have for that if not that will always be a major problem. I ordered the Chicken Mole Enchiladas-which were good. My husband ordered the fajita tacos, they looked good to me but he hated them because he likes everything well done and they had red in it which is the way I like it. The rice was not great, kind of dry. The beans were good. My coworkers have ordered lunch several times since they opened and THEY LOVE IT but then again the lunch price is reasonable/Not that I expect the dinner price to be the same but $12.99 for 2 enchiladas, rice, beans/should be more like $10.99. With all this said, I would still give it another try, they need time to sort through any issues when the place is newly opened. Oh, another thing I tend to get cold alot so when the waitress took our drink order she noticed I was cold and asked if I was cold she could ask the manager to turn the AC down-I told her not to worry about it because I am cold natured when most people are comfortable-I did not want to make other people uncomfortable just because I forgot my jacket I always carry. I just dealt with it and it was okay, but for the waitress to offer that and show her concern was really nice and thoughtfull.

MY REVIEW: We really liked this place. It seemed a little pricey at first, but we quickly discovered it's not just the same standard fare you could get at any other Mexican restaurant (e.g. T*ia M*aria), so we found it a decent value. I ordered the spinach enchiladas, which were quite possibly the best I've ever had (you could taste the fresh garlic--it was *divine*), and my husband really enjoyed his beef dish. The sauce was yummy. Our 3-y-o was pounding down the (nicely herbed) rice and charro beans (both of which came in cute little individual cooking pots) like they were going out of style, and the staff was very attentive and gracious--to her in particular. They even came by and gave her a little horn to toot, as well as a hat and a tiara with a New Year's theme. She was thrilled. Seemed like a nice, fun bunch of folks. We will return.

MY REVIEW: By far the worst experience, party of 4, one order of taco with egg and bacon no bacon, one order of fried eggs both eggs were rare, one order of queso was terrible and watery.Waitress was slow and kept forgetting to bring order of coffee and queso. Asked to speak with linda the manager and waitress came over to tell us she was too busy to come over.Definitely, the last time we will go there and anyone that will listen advise not to go there

MY REVIEW: Walked into Fridas for the first time and we were surprised. We were on our way to Spanish F*lower but never made it and probably never will again. Their hand shaken margaritas were incredible almost like El T*iempos but better priced.
I had "La Llorona" and it was unique tasty spicy taste. When I asked about the sauce they said it was a special house made sauce. My friend had the fish tacos and the were "fabulous".
We live in the Heights and this definitely our new "Casa".

MY REVIEW: Our family of 4 adults (one a vegetarian--one trying to cut down on meat consumption) ate on Saturday night around 7pm-- probably 15 patrons there. One waiter and one woman dressed in chef outfit that stood behind bar-
Our waiter seemed inexperienced but genuinely helpful and responsive.
The chicken frajita's were great not greasy--chicken enchilada's likewise--when we pointed out that we had order beef our waiter said he would change order- we said no "that's okay" waiter suggested a taste of beef frajita meat that goes into enchilada--it was great. The spinach enchildas were huge and flavorful.
we started out with guacamole that was creamy and fresh-- the mango, jicama avacado salad was garnished with thin grilled veggies when we requested no meat.
all in all the food was great and the atmosphere--divine--
we were intrigued by the upside down beer bottle inside huge margarita type glasses that the ladies were sipping with straws--interesting--

MY REVIEW: WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The service was terrible. We ordered an appetizer and never received it. The entrees are extremely overpriced with very small portions. We ordered beef enchilades with meat chili gravy. It was just a sauce with no meat poured over 2 very small corn tortillas with a little beef inside. It came with maybe 2tbls of rice and a cup of charro beans that had more broth than beans. This dish was $10.95. There are much much better restaurants in the same area where for $10.95 a person would be served a portion that 2 people could eat.

MY REVIEW: Food and hand shaken margarita!! New patio is great and services was perfect.
I highly recommend the spinach enchiladas. This restaurant is a great addition to the Heights, finally a Mexican Restaurant and not a taqueria.
One special added touch was that Chef Linda came to my table to ask how my meal was, now that is priceless.

MY REVIEW: Had late lunch today, 8 customers total in the restaurant, very slow, and forgetfull waitsuff ( needed to ask several times for salt, salsa, etc), food was ok, nothing out of the ordinary, you can get better mexican food at a taqueria or taco stand.. Weakest point, dont allow your waiters to answered personal calls on their cellphones while waiting at a customer. In general ok restaurant, you have better options in town.

MY REVIEW: Nice ambiance was greeted immediately. The chips and salsas were very delicious. The food was excellent; I had the carne asada steak 8 oz for lunch. The steak was extremely tender with grilled onions, which gave this dish so much flavor. There was no need to add any other seasonings...cooked to order. I could tell that everything was cooked from scratch and fresh. Tasty charro beans and rice with a side of grated cheese, pico and sour cream. I'm looking forward to returning soon...I would like to try the pasta dishes and the soups. The tortillas melted in my mouth. The service was great and they even packed my leftovers, which was a nice treat. I would definitely encourage my friends and family to try it soon. As a side note, I meet the owner, Diana, before I left and she was extremely friendly.

MY REVIEW: The place is kind of dificult to stop because it does not say, La casa de Frida. It has a sign that say's l*uchadores. Went there on a saturday night we were the only crowd dining there. The chips and salsa are pretty good as well as the spinach dip that is very generous. The menu has several Frida inspirations but not describe well. In my opinion they should mention why they name the dish Frida's favorite or Rivera's chicken. In other words, was this dish really inspired by Frida. I asked the waiter and he then mention that in one of Frida's bio she gives the recipe which made me want to try it. The dessert was great. The waiter also mention that she chef makes a homemade mole that is Frida inspired. Overall, good place just needs more promotion and better details. They also need specialty drinks. It would be nice to order a Fridatini or Kahlo Kalua hint hint.

MY REVIEW: Very nice setting. Frida is everywhere which is a delite. Waiter was a breathe of fresh air. Very helpful and loved to talk about to the food. Owners was there and came over and talked to us about the place. Very nice and ejoyable conversation.
Ordered the nachos with ground beef and the beef enchiladas. The nachos has a nice combination of toppings on each chip. Beef was nicely seasoned. The enchiladas were served with a green rice which contained a unique flavor which complimented the sauce on the enchiladas. It had a different but enjoyable taste and aroma. But the best was the Frida Favorate Dessert. A bread pudding which was topped with a unique sauce. It had little bits of apples, raisins and mangoes. Every though we were both full we could not stop eating the pudding. I look forward to returning and trying the other items on the menu.

MY REVIEW: Came in expecting this place to be R*ico's Triangle, a taqueria on North Main that'd been there forever. Had an idea the place was renovated but was really surprised by how much. It's reasonably upscale now with an interesting menu of both mexican and italian cuisine. We ordered the spinach enchiladas and the ceviche which was enough for 2 people not terribly hungry and both plates were delicious. Something about how the enchiladas were prepared reminded me a little of the sauce you might find with italian food, but I had a hard time pinpointing what exactly.
We were told they have drag shows out on the patio on Saturdays which are probably kind of interesting.
