Tradicao Brazilian Steakhouse - Clear Lake
201 W Bay Area Blvd, Webster, Texas 77598
MY REVIEW: This place is excellent. The meat cuts and taste beat out most of the restaurants around here. Of course, you are going to pay for it. However, compared to the two other steak houses, Tradicao is different because you are coming in to have the privilege to eat different roasted meats instead of one plate. We got to eat bottom sirloin, top sirloin (picanha), baby beef, pork ribs, pork sausage, parmesan pork, and filet mignon. They also have some side dishes of rice, mashed potatoes, cheese bread, and fried banana. And although their salad bar, you may regret having a plate of it once the meats come around. The waiters are very nice and professional. Ask them what each thing is, because you'll find it to be similar to something an Italian item, but it is a Brazilian one. Look at the steak knife and you'll find it to be from Brazil. In the end, get the papaya cream with cassis (blackcurrant) to finish it all.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I had decide to go out to eat for Xmas as she was leaving to go out of town the next morn, our christmas guess had to cancell at the last minute, and I did not want her to have alot to clean up just for the 2 of us.
We had planed to go to S*altgrass Steak House but it was before 3pm and S*altgrass would not be open till 4pm being it was Christmas day. So we decided to drive around till then and see what we could find another place open being I had to be at work that nite at 6pm. This led us to Tradicao's. We had anticipated it being a traditional uper scale steak house but that was not the case.
Once we learned how the system works with the red/green coaster we were pleasantly surprised at the great food and service that we recieved. we started with the salad bar witch was loaded with new things to taste, which was a welcome change. There was some sort of apple fruit typ salad that was creamy and demanded a second trip back for more. The hot cheese rolls were also a nice surprice as were the fried bannanas. Although more pricey than we normal go it was a welcomed change of taste and a nice Christmas treat. We will be back for another special nite out.

MY REVIEW: We have dined at the Houston location many times since Tradicao first opened up. The food and service has always been excellent. The price has been slowly going up since we started eating here, but even so we felt the price was still worth it, until the last time we ate there. When we asked for lamb chops, we were told there was an extra charge for it. Now, certain meats, such as lamb and fillets are "extra". This is not what I expected at all. When you go to the other Brazilian Steakhouses in Houston, there is no extra charge for certain meats. And now when I looked at their website I see they do not charge extra at the Webster location? What gives? Include everything at one price, don't nickel and dime us to death! Tradicao has lost our business and that of the many friends we bring in!

MY REVIEW: I recently went to the Clear Lake Tradicao location with my friend while visiting Houston. The restaurant was really cool, and all of the waiters were extremely nice. My experience overall was very positive.
Normally, I'm not a huge meat fan, but I loved all of the meat at Tradicao! The lamb was definitely my favorite, and the shrimp was excellent as well. I think I tried everything they served, and it was all really good.
The salad bar is not your typical salad bar. It has a variety of Brazilian style items, and it was really delicious and fun to try new things. They also have Brazilian drinks like caipirinhas, guarana, and a really yummy lemonade. If you've never tried these things, you need to! For dessert, we had the creme brulee, and I literally scraped the bowl clean.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend, and I will definitely be back!

MY REVIEW: Visited the new location on Bay Area Blvd, and once again, a TOTALLY SPECTACULAR dining experience. All the meats presented to my exact preference. For me, that's VERY rare, but they'll do anything to whatever the quest requests.
While its all about the fantastic food and equally fantastic service, the new location is more than just "background". It is a very beautiful and appealing, and adds even more to this already perfect experience.
While I'm sure the "locals" will be a significant part of the customer base, we made it from our home in west Houston in about 30 minutes. The quality of the food and service, combined with the exceptional value, makes this truly a DESTINATION restaurant.

MY REVIEW: Yayyyy!!! I kept waiting for this place to open and they did last Wednesday (10/27/10). I love churrascarias, especially when they're close to home. This place is like F*ogo de Chao, except not as expensive. Yes, it's still pricey, but I love the food (and isn't it okay to splurge just once in a while?). The dinner is $34.50 per person and comes with your usual sides (rice, mashed potatoes with cheese, fried bananas, black beans, and cheese bread). We had all sorts of meats galore (sausage, shrimp, chicken, pork, filet mignon, and lamb oh my!!!...and so much more to choose but I was too stuffed to try) Very nice salad bar (not as large as F*ogo de Chao but still lots!) with cheeses, veggies, prosciutto, asparagus, mushrooms, cucumbers, jicama, and much much more).
Nice ambience, private party rooms (if needed), clean restrooms (but then again, it's brand new so they better be clean!). The wait staff is very attentive and friendly. The owner came by and chatted with us for a while too. We topped off the evening with my fave, crème brûlée ($7). Everything was mmm mmm good.
