MY REVIEW: The food was Amazing! We went for the $10 steak and potato night and were more than impressed. Steak- perfect, potato-excellent, onion soup-fabulous! Tried hummus for the first time and we were hooked. Fried pickles came in a very generous portion and were great. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

MY REVIEW: We were walking around looking for somthing differant and happened upon Babaloo
We have just eaten here and love the place, the food is excellent, we had hummus and stuffed jalapeņo and shrimp, rib eye cook just how I like it, and of course chocolate cake, The coffee is the best I've had in a long time,
The decor not much but the atmosphere very present and staff were very attentive,
All in all it was very nice and we do plan to return for the tapas.

MY REVIEW: Wanting to try something new in Katy, we drove out to this place. The setup was very odd. You walked in and were to seat yourself, so we went towards what looked like the front but only ended up being empty space with no tables. The only seating left was bar height table seating near the kitchen. We sat down and were told by the waitress that there were only two menus left, and that they were running low, so the three of us would have to share the two menus.
She took our drink orders, but appeared to be waiting on the entire restaurant, including large outdoor seating, by herself. We kept trying to flag her down to give our order. Maybe she could tell that we were trying to get her attention, because she told us that she would see if our food was ready. We had to tell her that she had not yet even taken our order! She said, "That must be why you were looking at me funny." Really?
After ordering, we again waited. And waited. And waited. And listened to the music in the courtyard compete with their music in store. And begged the waitress for more Diet Coke (and would a smile kill you?) before she eventually came over and said that "He was going to go to the kitchen to check on our food", whoever "he" was. Still nothing for maybe ten more minutes. Then she came over again and said that the manager wanted to do something for us since we were having to wait so long, and would like to send out a tray of crawfish. Not only did we not order crawfish, but it wasn't even on the menu. When we told her that we didn't eat crawfish, she offered no other compensation. Just as we were asking her how we needed to settle up for our sodas so that we could leave hungry, one of the plate of tapas came out, which was one of three items ordered by just one person in our three person party. It was asparagus wrapped in proscuitto, and consisted of four very small spears of asparagus, which I would not consider to be restaurant grade. Even if we had not had to wait, it would not have been nearly worth the money.
We got up and left hungry, losing nearly two hours of our night, without an apology from anyone but the overworked waitress. Do yourself a favor. Give it a miss.

MY REVIEW: My wife bought a Groupon on a whim and we had an EXCELLENT lunch. I love the tapas style of eating a little bit of different types of things. The Argentinian empanadas with caramelized onions in a balsamic reduction were incredible. The prosciutto wrapped asparagus was beautifully arranged and perfectly cooked. Caprese salad is pretty simple in general and but the quality of ingredients was very high - would have preferred a little more basil but that is certainly a preference thing not a knock on the food. The chicken lettuce wrap was simply delicious but a little messy (my Tide pen had a little work to do when I got back.) Service was very good, the flavored iced tea was delicious and refilled frequently. At first, I really wanted to try a sandwich but frankly I think I'll have to explore more of the tapas menu before I do that. This is definitely a hit and we will definitely be returning!

MY REVIEW: Food is very good, but service is a bit spotty (slow, and they don't check back frequently enough to make sure everything is OK). Their special Sangria is a nice treat, and music on Saturday night was quite good! Smoke from patrons in the outdoor heated patio area permeated the whole restaurant, which was a real bummer. Nice place (great bar for conversation and watching sports!), but they need to improve service/promptness.

MY REVIEW: We liked it. The house cabernet was very good, but no wine list yet. Live music. Our tapas were good but came out at different times which was weird so my husband was done before I got mine. Quirks to work out after just opening up. We will give them the benefit of the doubt and return.
