MY REVIEW: Not going to give this place another try. All three times have been a disappointment and we have yet to eat anything there. One time the entire front was filled with a party and you couldn't even get to the pastry counter to look at the offerings. Another time we stood at the pastry counter and were not approached by anyone, even though there were people behind the counter. This was the last straw when the cart in the front was empty, no offerings; and what was in the pastry counter looked like it had been there all week; at least what was in the pastry display most the plates were empty with just crumbs. Noticing all the dirty plates sitting on empty tables outside they must have been busy at one time but not when we were there. Maybe it's because they think City Center makes them special they can ignore a possible new customer.

MY REVIEW: We just tried this place for the first time. We had originally planned to go to The T*asting Room, but it was booked for an OTC private party. We ended up really liking Flora and Muse. Three of us dined on their outdoor patio; the weather was great, and it turns out it was open mic night, so there was some good music playing as well.

I had the burger with fries and a green salad. The meat was of a very nice quality and was flavorful, and the fries were excellent. I asked for mustard but never received it. The waiter was very hard to flag down, so I just went without it. My husband had lamb sausage and egg crepes and enjoyed those, and my friend had a panini which she also liked. I had a good glass of wine, while my friend enjoyed a mojito; it was full of berries as well as the standard mint so had a bit of a different twist to it, but she loved it and found it refreshing.

It took a really long time to get our check. We waited and never saw our water go by; eventually we asked for it and got it. Overall the service was friendly but a little spotty. We'd definitely go back. Love the atmosphere and how it's decorated. So nice to have all these restaurants in one area.

MY REVIEW: Went for a hopefully relaxing breakfast today.Food wasn't too bad, but the service was terrible. Had to ask for creamer when the coffee was brought to the table.(waiter never asked) Had to go inside to ask for some salt and pepper.(none on the table). Wife's croissant came with assorted jams, but none was delivered with the meal. Had to ask for that. Waiter never came back to check if order was correct or for refills. Had to go to the bar to get a refill on the coffee. Asked for the check when the waiter finally came by and didn't get it for over 20 minutes. Felt like just leaving through the whole meal. Won't be back.

MY REVIEW: First and last visit to this restaurant today for a Sunday brunch with a group of friends. The service was slow but the worst thing was that the food was really lacking in quality. All of our salads were DRENCHED in oil, too oily to eat actually. I had the Flora quiche and it was just average, at best. And they served it with potatoes! Potatoes and quiche? Huh? Our waiter never asked us if our food was okay. I was very disappointed as Flora & Muse had been recommended by another friend. I don't eat out frequently and will not waste my time, money, and appetite on this restaurant again.

MY REVIEW: Words cannot describe how horrible the service is for the restaurant...you would have to experience it to believe it. I have only dined there on the weekends so I have no idea if weekday service is better, but I highly doubt it. The head manager, Hayri, who is also apparently a managing partner was made aware of the troubles going on at my table which ranged from missing food items, to over-charges on the bill, comes out, doesn't believe that anything is wrong and in no way accommodated our table. Food takes almost an hour to come out, comes out wrong and then you wait another 30 for the correct item and there are no accommodations made on the bill. We were charged for the bread we ate WHILE WE WAITED ON THEM TO FIX OUR INCORRECT ORDER! Regular, plain slices of Bagguette. I asked for the check; waited 30 minutes, it never arrived so my daughter went to the bar to request it and it was still another 15 minutes before it was brought to us. In 12 years of dining out in Houston, I have NEVER encountered service this bad.

MY REVIEW: While this place is atheistically pleasing with the fun decor and ambiance, the quality of the end product and the ridiculous pricing do not match. The service is spotty and I am always left feeling that I overspent. I have tried the pear & gorgonzola pizza which was excellent, the short ribs, which were far too salted and once I reached the broth..not edible, and a full host of their pastries. I cannot justify spending $15 on lunch salads and $4 on chocolate croissants and with spotty service. I will skip this place in the future unless I am in a mood to spend far too much. There are far too many other great places in the area. I think many women love this place because it has this cool vibe, however if you look closely its not everything you had hoped it would be. If cost & service improved, I would definitely try again.

MY REVIEW: Ooh, not very happy right now....been going there twice a week since it opened; tip generously. I have a stressful job and I like to relax at lunch. I take my paper & read; rarely stay over an hour. Requested my usual end-of-meal cappuccino (not from my regular server, granted) and got it in a paper cup with a plastic lid! Did they run out of china? Did they need to turn my table in the half-filled restaurant? Yes, probably an A.R. complaint, but considering my bill was $30 for one person, I don't think a proper cup was out of order - I could have easily gotten a styrofoam cup of coffee back at the office for free.

MY REVIEW: Angel - you should go back - when we first went they were relatively new in opening and had to get the KINKS out. Went today and service was GREAT - last 2 times this month was great also and the wait staff is wonderful - ask for Ron or Noah. Food delicious - Angel, please try again.

MY REVIEW: Even though I liked the atmosphere and food, I am not going back! Wait staff is not only rude and stand-offish, they make you want to get up and walk away. One waiter did not know what ingredient they had in a salad and acted like it was not his job to find out. Another waiter messed up my order, did not apologize and did not even take it off my bill: we had to address that with the manager. Manger was the only nice and professional person at that place: everyone else acted like they were doing everyone a big favor being there! Even though we go out a lot and live near by, I will not be coming back: insults do not go well with my hot tea!!!

MY REVIEW: Very nice little spot...interesting interior and a good place for drinks, service was very slow but they just opened recently. I recently moved to citycenter and will give them another chance but I will stick to Cafe R*ose for my morning coffee and lunch spot, the coffee at Flora is terrible and the lunch menu isnt that great. Overall a nice place to go for a drink or glass of wine

MY REVIEW: We went for lunch this past weekend. Hostess desk was completely disorganized with numerous people (hostess & staff) saying to stand over there and wait. Next person - please wait over there. 3rd wait person - please wait over there. When we got seated - 3 different people came by to ask what we wanted to drink. The guy that delivered our drinks seemed put out when we requested lemon with our drink. After the drinks were delivered - 2 different people asked what we wanted to eat. My sandwich was burnt with the burnt side placed down against the plate. When I finally got a wait person to stop and asked if it the sandwich was supposed to be burnt on one side. Her response was that it ws not "completely black" and if I did not like it that way that she could have it redone. You have to ask to have your drinks refilled I went to their restroom to wash my hands & there were no paper towels or anything to dry your hands on.

Good concept - poor delivery
