Kemah Cafe
1201 Hwy 146, Kemah, Texas 77565
MY REVIEW: my husband and I were staying at a RV park in Kemah for almost a year and we ate here often. the Pho soup (all varieties) is great, especially on a cold damp day. the softshell crab is flavorful. I have tried a lot of different menu items and loved each one. My husband's fave is the rock and roll beef. the atmosphere is not fancy but exceptionally clean, comfortable with excellent service. the owner & waitstaff will be happy to help u with any concern.

MY REVIEW: I have never had pad thai before, so when I saw it was a blackboard special at Kemah Cafe, I had to try it. Since this was my 1st experience with the national dish of Thailand, I have nothing to compare KC's version to. I only know that I liked it a lot. I ordered it with shrimp (8 medium grilled nicely). Waiter asked if I wanted it spicy. I did and it was. Manager (owner?)even came over and asked if it was hot enough, which I appreciated.
Now I am duty-bound to get me some pad thai at other places for comparison purposes.

MY REVIEW: We were driving through and just happened to stop. This place is very clean, bright, a wonderful wait staff, great menu, and the best Vietnamese food I have ever eaten. You will like this place too. It is to bad this place is not closer to where we live. We would eat there often if it was. Great healthy food at great prices. Kemah can be proud of this restaurant.

MY REVIEW: The food is always wonderful and everything is so fresh. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The pho ga is phenominal. The flavor is unique and very palate pleasing. I have always enjoyed any of the items I have tried from the menu. We have been going there about once a week for over a year now.

MY REVIEW: They have added some signage, making this new business more visable. When I realized they serve Vietnamese, I stopped in today for lunch. Apparently more people are noticing as they had a good lunch crowd.
Typical of most Vietnamese restaurants, the menu is large. I ordered crispy Imperial egg rolls (4) and a bowl of charcoal grilled pork with rice vermicelli. The egg rolls were very tasty, but only came with 1 leaf of lettuce and some carrots----could've used a lot more lettuce with maybe some bean sprouts & mint leaves thrown in for good measure. The pork was tender and had a good smokey flavor. Several customers were eating pho on this cold, rainy day. I will return for some soup before the weather warms up. The place is spotless and the staff is pleasant.
Nice to finally have a Viet/pho restaurant in the Kemah/League City area. Now that they have done a better job of announcing their presence, they should do well.
