Juan Big Burrito
176 Gulf Fwy S, League City, Texas 77573
MY REVIEW: I come here a lot and have never had anything but super food and great service. The breakfast plates @ $5 are a great value. And the Juan Big Burrito is one of the best breakfast burritos I have ever had.
I have never ordered barbacoa here, so I can't speak to the frustration expressed by one customer. Today I had the Chorizo Egg Plate and it was fantastic as ever! But after I had already placed my order, I noticed what must be a new item--machacada burrito. I've been on a dried beef kick lately, so good to know they have it now.
If you're not eating here because of some minor complaint in the past, you're missing out on a great Mexican breakfast that's cheap and served fast.

MY REVIEW: First time visit. As previous customer indicated, by 9:00am they were out of barbacoa. Another customer told be he orders his burritos a day in advance. Seems to be a common occurrence yet no changes are being made. I made a comment to the clerk and her only comment was "I'm not the manager". Purchased a chorizo burrito but it was mostly egg. Bad planning and bad customer service. I don't think I'll be visiting them again. BTW, their comments link in their web page doesn't work either.

MY REVIEW: Thanks, melrico48, for the recommendation of the Beef Tips Burrito---I didn't know they had such a thing---I will definitely give it a try.
And you might want to try the Chorizo Egg Plate sometime.

MY REVIEW: I still disagree with Sandy I don't care if the recipe is the same the taste just does not do it for me as it did at B*ronco. I mean the recipe could not have been that big of a secret I mean it is just a burrito. It is all in how you make it and the freshness and yada yada yada.
However, someone had me try the Beef Tips Burrito and I will say I really enjoyed that one and will go back for that one in the future. So if the Big Juan Burrito doesn't do it for you try some of the others.

MY REVIEW: It's like MelRico and I are eating at two different places??? Juan Big Burrito's food is IDENTICAL to B*ronco (both B*roncos---the old League City store as well as Galveston). Honestly, I cannot tell any difference in the burritos. And the hot sauce is just that---HOT and absolutely delicious.
When JBB bought out B*ronco in League City, they bought their recipes as well. And they had the good sense to not change a thing (since it wasn't broken, they didn't try to fix it).

MY REVIEW: This is no B*ronco Burrito. I try it out once a month to see if it improves but after today I will not go back. They seem to put more potato than anything and the sauce seems bland.

MY REVIEW: Best breakfast burrito ever! I had to stop and get on before I left for college! They really fill you up and taste amazing! And the reason, comment below, that they probably ran out of it is because it is a smaller family ran local place. Most places like that make everything in the morning and its more of a 1st come 1st serve like most of the other small places in old league city.

MY REVIEW: PLACE SUCKS!!!!!!!!! HAVE GONE THERE SEVERAL TIMES AND EVERYTIME I HAVE GONE THEY ARE OUT OF BARBACOA. TODAY IT WAS NINE IN THE MORNING AND THEY ARE OUT OF BARBACOA! HOW DO YOU HAVE SOMETHING LIKE BARBACOA ON THE MENU AT A MEXICAN RESTAURANT AND YOU RUN OUT OF IT. YOU SHOULDN'T PUT IT ON THE MENU IF YOUR NOT GOING TO HAVE ENOUGH OF IT AVAILABLE. SO IF YOUR GOING FOR THE BARBACOA YOU BETTER GET THERE AT SIX A.M....NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WONT BE GOING BACK AND WONT BE RECOMMENDING THAT PLACE TO ANYONE.

MY REVIEW: Last couple times, instead of the burrito, I have ordered the chorizo egg plate. It comes with 2 slices bacon, refried beans, fried potatoes, eggs scrambled with chorizo and their burrito-size homemade tortilla. Fill that big tortilla to the max and there is still enough left on the plate to feed another person. This place rocks!

MY REVIEW: They recently bought (League City location only) Bronco Burritos operation and are occuping the same lease space. More importantly, the burritos are identical because they use the exact same recipes as Bronco. Even the legendary green sauce is the same. Smart move. Clever name.
