MY REVIEW: Our family often goes to Tempura for their awesome grill items and Chinese fusion entrees. For the first time we hosted a party at their restaurant and it was amazing! Their service is impeccable and the owner/staff were very accommodating. We were so pleased with everything that we don't think we can go anywhere else to host an event.

MY REVIEW: We first heard of Tempura a couple of months ago when they catered a Live BBQ @ a friends home.I had never seen Fresh Kebabs, Tempura Shrimp and Paratha being made fresh in front of guests by a restaurant ( I guess I am new at this!!)

but the food was so good and fresh and the hostess was just happy to see all the guests enjoying themselves.I guess she was not in the kitchen cooking and serving was her best part!!!. Since then I have been to 2 weddings catered by Tempura and the Food was excellent,we look forward to September when we have our Eid Party and I have already spoken to Tempura to cater it in my backyard with all the BBQ items, esp their Biharee Beef and Malai Boti..

MY REVIEW: We were a party of 8 so we got to order 6 items on a Saturday night, We were reffered there by friends and heard on Radio Naya Andaz and went there all the way from New Territory. The Radio guy said try the BBQ Items, they are cooked fresh to Order, So you have to wait 25 minutes to eat it, we ordered all 3 platters A, B, C and they all were outstanding. The Nihari was the Best. The cashier recommended Chilli Chicken with fried Rice and Chicken Malai Boti - he was so confident, he offered Money Back Guarantee on the Malai Boti - wow Mr. L...f you were right, good enough to come back for more. 8 people ate for less than $10.00 each, that is reasonable, that even paid for the toll to get there!

I only wish there was a place like this in the Sugarland Area.

MY REVIEW: You got to try the BBQ dishes, we tried the Sizzling Platter # B. You have to get Malai Boti, Beef Boti (ask them for it!!) and Reshmi Kabab with Fried Paratha. The Chicken Chilli with fried Rice is excellent too. The Buffett is good but food sitting in a steamer could get dry, but still tasted good. On the negative side: Fried Food..So try the Healthy Grilled Items off the Menu. I have stopped going South to eat as why waste gas when you can go down the street for good food fresh food. Was there on 2 Saturdays and the Party Hall was packed both times, so they must be doing something Good!!

MY REVIEW: The Strongest Point of the Restaurant is Their BBQ. The Best Chicken Tikka. I was there and the owner Mr. Asrar offered to me Their New Recipe Tikka. It is the Juiciest Tikka, like the real Bundu Style in Karachi..I think this will go good, but you have to eat it while it is HOT!!!!The Malai Boti is Also Good.

The weak point is the Buffett, but it is not their fault.. The Food for the buffet has to be cooked and sits there waiting for you to come and eat..

So to really get the best of this GEM of The North Restaurant is go and ORDER the Specialty Items and Eat There FRESH And HOT! with a Fresh Naan..

With my Tikka they also offered me Fried Paratha !! Yes A Fried Paratha..Try It.

Don't make my mistake, Do Not Go on a Tuesday as they are closed...

MY REVIEW: We hosted a party for 80 people at their banquet hall. It was by far the best party I've been to since being in Houston for over a year. The food was great. The owner, Mr. Asrar made our party enjoyable and was available every step of the way.

The food was simply great. We had seekh kabab, karai gosht, saag paneer, and chicken pulao. The karai gosht and seekh kabab were one of the best. I'm not a huge fan of saag paneer but this item was really good. The chicken pulao was good, and the kheer was excellent.

The banquet hall was very well lit. The only negative thing was the temperature. The hall could have been a little bit cooler. The staff was nice enough to get all the fans they had and hook them up but we're still talking August in Houston with temperatures touching 100 degrees.

The service was excellent. There were enough people on hand to make sure that the guests were getting their drinks. The food was constantly being refilled. There was only one lapse when we had to wait a little extra for the naans. Our banquet manager was apologetic and took care of matters quickly.

Our choice came after carefully looking at the reviews on the internet as well as visiting the places. If you live in the Northwest part of Houston make sure you check out Tempura.

MY REVIEW: This should be the most important review for every one out there looking for a good restaurant finally in houston , we planned our party at m*ezban first but when some one told us abt tempura on 10640 fm 1960 we cancelled our party at m*ezban rest (we had a bad experience wid them b4 too thats y) .

the party at tempura turned out to be a great blast every one who were saying its too far to get there really were amazed at this new restaurant(used to be s*hanai before but now tempura) the food no doubt was delicious the service was great , Mr Asrar(owner) and his wife who runs the rest themselves along wid a small crew of the ppl working there(8 to 10) put every effort to make the birthday party a memorable one and tell u wat it really worked out they were more thn nice in welcoming the guests , serving the food , keeping the quality of food as it shud be not just throwing packets of shan masalas in meat and calling it KORMA but exactly how it shud be prepared there were abt 12 diff items in main course and each and every item was really better thn the other item .

i am here wasting my time just for nuthin but to wake ppl up to support some one who really deserves to be appreciated rather thn those beaten up restaurants like m*ezban,s*hanai,r*oyal . i am just one of an ordinary customers of them who really wud like them to be at the peak coz of their hospitality and effort not some one like m*ezban (used to be good too but now they really got everything mis managed) . Houstonians plz appreciate the restaurant atleast by goin there once and giving them honest advises what they shud improve if they need too coz they still are honest enough to call them family running place not one of those money making professionals running business on shan packs. do tell the owner(Mr Asrar) u read taimur khans family comments and thats y u are there thnxxx alot everyone

MY REVIEW: Afer visiting Tempura Halal in North, We all can say their food is excellent. No one is near it in Houston. Their BBQ and all other items were very tasty with a taste of Pakistan. We like to congratulate them on their arrival in Houston.
