Frosted Betty Bakeshop

MY REVIEW: I love cupcakes and read about Frosted Betty in old Katy. I didn't know it was there until I saw an article in the Chronicle recently. My son and I stopped by as we were close to the area. If I didn't have my GPS, I would never have found it. It is hidden behind a restaurant in a a very small building. You order outside. There are a few places outside to eat, a nice gazebo.

The cupcakes were way too small for the price. I liked the idea of the different flavors. My son ordered a red velvet cupcake with vanilla buttercream icing. I ordered an almond ricotta raspberry cupcake with raspberry icing. While we both thought the cakes were good, neither of us liked the icing. We ended up throwing the icing away. It was way too sweet and both had blah flavorings. The cakes had the texture of muffins rather than cakes, however were moist. I won't go back, because of the price, small product, and horrible icing.

MY REVIEW: Frosted Betty Bakeshop makes the most delicious cupcakes I have ever eaten! The cupcakes are excellent (and there is a lot to choose from) and the location is stupendous - a tranquil garden complete with gazebo and trees galore. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
