MY REVIEW: I hate to break the positive reviews, but I had a very bad experience. First of all, my party did not get the bread and salad until after the meal arrives. I did not get what I ordered, it was taken back. Then I was told it would be 20 minutes till I could get what I originally ordered. I went on ahead and took my wrong order back due to time. It was okay, but not my favorite. It seems I get indigestion every time I eat there. I only eat there as people from Church go there and I do not want to be anti-social. Sadly the help that day appeared to not be fully alert. We were asked 3 times if we wanted the salad and we replied "yes". It was a holiday, but the place was not crowded. Worst service I have received. On the positive side, the food temperature and freshness seemed fine. I will not eat there on my own free will again.

MY REVIEW: I absolutely love this place! Food is great, service is great! I have been in for breakfast and dinner! I love the breakfast....down here we really only have I*HOP and Andy's Kitchen kicks I*HOP's butt! It's affordable and delicious! Dinner is great too....big portions, be sure to go hungry. It would be great for family gatherings, and you can bring in your own beer!

MY REVIEW: Tried this place based on reviews from this website. What I read here was true- great food served family style. Small loaves of bread that had been fried, then dusted with garlic salt are incredibly addicting. Family style sides are to die for. Go hungry, wear loose pants.

MY REVIEW: The food here is great and served in very large portions. The sides are all you can eat, so if by some miracle you have room left after the salad, bread, huge entree, and the first servings of sides, you can get seconds. The side dishes are the same each time--garlic mashed potatoes, cream gravy, green beans, and creamed corn, as well as salad and fried bread--and served family style in bowls, so each person takes however much he or she wants. The CFS was the largest I have ever been served, tender, and with a nice crispy breading. The pot roast is extremely tender and moist and the best I have ever eaten. My husband tried the fried chicken once and liked it, but be forewarned it does have a little kick to it, so if you don't like spicy food, get something else.
So far we have tried just about all the entrees and everything has been good. I nearly always have to take half my entree home, as I cannot finish it. We have only tries their desserts once. That was on our second or third visit--they ran out of mashed potatoes, so they offered us each a dessert instead. Of course we had to take it home and eat it later, but when we did eat it is was delicious.
This is really about the only place in the area I know of that served real "home style" cooking. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want old-fashioned, tasty, comfort food, in generous quantities, and at a reasonable price. Just one caveat--don't go there if you aren't hungry!

MY REVIEW: I've only been to Andy's twice but it is already my favorite place to eat in the Brazosport area. Their breakfasts are great. Best pancakes I've had anywhere and combo of 3 eggs, 3 French toast (Texas toast), 3 sausage patties, potatoes, and biscuit was more than I could finish.
The second visit was for dinner and we tried the chicken fried steak and pot roast. But before those arrived they brought out a bowl of salad and Fried Bread (first time I've had that and it is great. Crispy on the outside and piping hot.) When the waitress asked if we wanted a refill on the salad and bread, we should have said no because the entree servings were large ... fork tender CFS with a delicious batter. Came with a bowl of real cream gravy, mashed potatoes, cream corn, and green beans w/ bacon. The sides are also served family style and I assume refills are available if you have the room. The pot roast was like I would like to make at home but normally don't usually manage to make.
I definitely recommend Andy's Kitchen for good home style cooking and large portions.
