Guadalupe's Tex & Mex

MY REVIEW: My husband & I read about this restaurant here & decided to give it a try. I had the beef fajitas & a Margarita, my husband had pork carnitas. The Margarita was from a machine but still very good. The fajitas were delicious. The carnitas were very tasty though they needed a little salt. Both plates came out sizzling & quick. The chips & salsa were awesome... fresh & warm. We are Hispanic & would highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back!

MY REVIEW: My husband drove all the way from Waller to eat here for our anniversary, and let me tell you, it was AMAZING! The food was SO good, seriously, I was drooling as I was putting each bite into my mouth. I LOVED the multi-colored chairs and the bright colors that make up the decorations. Service was EXCELLENT! Didn't bother us too much but didn't leave us alone for too long. We will most definitely go back again and again and again. If you want GREAT prices and GREAT food then this is your place. Seriously.

MY REVIEW: THIS PLACE ROCKS!!!!!!!!! I had the Shrimp Diablo appetizer which was a meal in it self. Nice BIG Shrimp w/ cheese and jalapenos strips in side wrapped in bacon and perfectly cooked and piping hot when it comes out on a nice heated elevated platform of wonderful goodness w/ rice and melted cheese on top as a perfect compliment. My wife had the Alambre which had loads of chicken and beef for fajita fixins. Margarita's were excellent with excellent alcohol content.

This was our second time to eat here and we are now hooked and will not stray far from the range when it comes to excellent tex-mex.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I love visiting this local restaurant. The food is excellent, the service is superb, and the margaritas and fajitas are the best in town! The owner always greets us and serves tea and queso when we sit down. (Can't tell we are regulars, right?!)

MY REVIEW: We stopped in on a Monday afternoon about one and were a little concerned that the place was empty, but we shouldn't have been. The food was great!! At our table we had a chimichanga, beef tacos and a burrito with green sauce and everyone cleaned their plates. The salsa was also very good!! The flavors were phenomenal. This place is definitely worth a visit! The only drawback was the service was a little slow.

MY REVIEW: EXCELLENT AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Met my girlfriends here for dinner one night after work and had a grand time. One friend had been there the week prior and raved about the food so we agreed to try it. The margaritas were killer... I had a frozen one and it was blended perfectly, very smooth with no ice chunks. Both red and green salsas were yummy and our bowl of tortilla chips was refreshed often.

I ordered the cheese enchiladas and literally cleaned my entire plate. So good! My friend ordered the bacon-wrapped jalapeno shrimp and they were served to her on this amazing little cooker grill. Never seen anything like it. I asked for a glass of water to balance out the margarita and it was served with a handcrafted cactus-themed glass bottle for refills. These little touches made for a unique experience.

The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. They joked with us quite a bit which was also fun. The patio was comfortable and clean and I loved the hanging glass lanterns outside. I will definitely be bringing my husband back to Guadalupe's to enjoy the atmosphere and great food. Probably only one margarita for me next time though! ;)

MY REVIEW: I keep neglecting to offer a review on this FANTASTIC LOCAL GEM! The best I can describe this place is "gourmet Mexican". Everything is homemade or at least to me - appears to be. Sauces are from scratch and the food is absolutely delicious. They now have their liquor license so no more free "ritas" but don't let that stop you. Support Guadalupes Mexican Kitchen! They're sincere, and the service has gotten faster. I highly recommend this place! And don't be fooled by the non-descript strip mall it's located in - this place turns out serious food for the most descrimating Foodie - which I am.

MY REVIEW: Discovered this hidden gem a few months ago on a recommendation. Thought I'd pass along the favor! Food is prepared to order, not pre-made, and worth the wait. Downside: Hope they get their liquor license soon. The wait staff is inexperienced, but they want to please. Summary: Great food, with a casual pace and environment.

MY REVIEW: The flavor is so great you won't want to swallow.

We have traveled all over Mexico and the food, just like here in America, varies from region to region. The food at Guadalupe’s comes from the heart of Mexico. It's not Tex-Mex. The service might be a little slow but that is because nothing is pre-made. So don't rush! Enjoy.

MY REVIEW: Place is great! Sat on the patio and had delicious margaritas! The food was really good, and I mean delicious. Most Mexican/texmex restaurants in the area do not pay attention to detail like Guadalupe's does. The food is served fresh and in more than generous portions. Also, All the glassware, salsa dishes and table cloths are made from recycled material, goes to show that G's is being environmentally responsible. This place seems like a well kept secret since it is in a rather inconspicuous shopping center. If you are lucky enough to find it, I recommend stopping.

MY REVIEW: So glad to see a good mexican restaurant so close to our subdivision! Several other restaurants didn't survive at this location. We feel like finally they have one that will be able to stay open! Good Food! Great Marguaritas! Love being out on the deck with friends! Service gets plenty slow when they get busy!

MY REVIEW: My wife and I ate there last night. Service was bad but we thought it could be due to being a brand new place and the systems weren't established. They really need to get someone in there with experience on how to set up the staff duties. The food was terrible. No excuse for bacon wrapped shrimp to have absolutely no flavor what so ever. The $5 small bowl of queso tasted like "cheese in a can". The fajita meat wasn't bad but didn't stand out either. The ribs were cooked well and were tender but the sauce wasn't very good. The rice didn't have much flavor or seasoning which pretty much sums up the meal. Hope they can get it together.

MY REVIEW: This place is awesome. My wife and I are glad they are open and so close to our house. The food is excellent. Hand made with all fresh ingredients. It's been a long time since I've have food of this quality in a small Tex Mex place. The staff is friendly and very efficient. We went Sunday and will probably go back for dinner one night this week.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I are very excited this place is now open! We went for lunch yesterday and as we always do with our first time somewhere we order a lot of food so we can sample a wide variety of items. Every single thing we had was as good as you can get anywhere! The prices are moderate, the staff is awesome and the manager actually waited on us. The place is VERY clean and has a modern bistro feel to it. I am a little busy at work today so I can't give all the details I would like to but let me say you simply have to try this place. AWESOME!
