MY REVIEW: Walked in & was attended to Immediately. Was seated & Drink order was taken & Delivered within 3 minutes. Restaurant was a little Warm & the Owner came right over & took us to the Smoothie Bar Area(MUCH COOLER; REALLY COMFORTABLE)
My Wife & I ordered the Fried Zucchini & Gator Bites with a Chipotle Dipping Sauce.Very tasty & cooked to perfection. We both had the Enchilada Dinner for our Entree. I had the Beef; My Wife took the Cheese. Both came with Refried Beans(PERFECTLY SPICED)and Rice. We also asked for Chips & Salsa. Chips were thick; But fried perfectly again. I think with a little time & the Word getting out; Joe's ought to do very well.I happened onto this Restaurant ; Because my Daughter Lives nearby. I live in Point Venture, Texas and also in the Foodservice Industry(R*udy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q) in Austin, Texas.
I'll return to Joe's to try the Other Items on the Varied Menu.

MY REVIEW: Hi. We had a wonderful lunch there!!!! The cheeseburger was fantastic !!!! Great quality and very tasty. The french fries are the best..they have a secret ingredient I couldn't figure out..they were delicious.
Thefried mushrooms were also very good. Cooked to perfection. My sister tried the alligator and really liked it. I had a green tea and mango smoothie that was tasty, healthy and not filling like so many others are. The service was very attentive and polite. The staff seems to really care about the customers. Going back for dinner tonight! Good wholesome atmosphere with great food.

MY REVIEW: This is near my work, and I was sad to see I*guana Joe's go. No more delicious chips and and green salsa, and the free soft serve machine is gone(even though the sign is still up).
Food choices include fried, fried, and more fried. Not too many healthy choices for a restaurant advertising itself as a smoothie bar.
The burgers were ok but our top buns were greasy on top, which made the whole thing unappealing. The fries were tasty but the onion rings were really oily and the portion was much smaller than the fries. Burgers were around $7-8.
The smoothies are a rip and not that special. The medium is around $4.50 and large (which was not that big) was $4.95. I like my smoothies really fruity like Smoothie K*ing or J*amba Juice, and these just had two different fruits (with a 50 cent up charge for a third, and were more milkshake-ish than a healthy smoothie.
Our service was a little overbearing (since the restaurant was empty), but the waitress came up to our table way to many times to ask if everything is fine. I like to be asked but I also like to eat my meal in peace. Then we asked for our check even though we weren't done eating (since it was lunch time and we were in a a bit of a hurry to go back to work). The waitress dropped it off and then came back a minute later and asked us if we wanted to pay here. Um...Hello?? we will get out our money when we are ready. We were still taking the last bites of our food and weren't ready to handle money.
I have no interest in going back unless they can offer some healthier options like salads, better smoothies, grilled chicken and veggies.

MY REVIEW: New business opening in old location of a restaurant that moved to the Belt. Started with a mix of Tex-Mex, Cajun and comfort foods and is evaluating what people like. Owner and head waiter both came by the table at different times to ask us what was good and what needed to change. Told them that they needed green sauce and chips when people arrive at table. Lots of the old I*quana Joe's people can take back our restaurant location and help a new guy learn the customer base wants rather than just putting what they think we should eat.
Good Crabcakes (grilled or fried) gator bites, Chicken or Beef Skirt steak, large servings
Bad Fried tortillas instead of chips. Too thick. Did not see queso.
