Crush Wine Lounge

MY REVIEW: Great wine list, staff was courteous and were helpful. The feeling was like not being in Texas, that was a good thing! Being from the west coast it was nice to find a cool place to hang out and chill out. My wine was selected by the bar tender and I was surprised with a great Pinot that I have never heard of before! Nice place, class act an I'll be back soon. Took some friends from San Diego and they were impressed. Been to all the places in "The Woods" and Crush is my favorite.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I went there on a Saturday afternoon for the first time. The look of the place and the view overlooking the waterway is awesome. The waitstaff was not real attentive to our table and when the guy finally came over he didn't have any wine knowledge when I asked if they had a Verdejo he orginally said no. I asked him for a good substitue and he suggested Chardonnay, not even close to the taste. Then he comes back after bringing waters saying they did have one. The wine menu was pretty extensive and fairly priced. We didn't order any food however the menu was limited.

Overall I'm not sure I'd go back to this place until thier waitstaff is properly educated on the product they sell.

MY REVIEW: Wow. It has to be the coolest place to hang out in the Woodlands. The upstairs rooftop has the greatest view in the area. The prices are in line with most wine bars and the staff has always been attentive. The only complaint I have is the heat, but that will take care of it self this fall.

MY REVIEW: It's about time the Woods got a unique place like this. The atmosphere is perfect and the staff was friendly and very helpful with our wine selection. My wife and I enjoy coming here because I drink red and she drinks white and the selections are diverse enough to satisfy both of our interests. My wife loves it when we walk in and are immediately recognized as regulars.

MY REVIEW: Cool upstairs patio but crummy appetizers and overpriced wine. Also, extremely poorly trained staff and management. My girlfirend was literally pushed out of the way by a rude manager charging through the door. While the employee following the manager turned around and apologized, the manager did not even acknolwedge her rudeness. So go have a bite to eat at H*ubble and Hudson next door and drink a reasonbly priced bottle of wine, then walk through Crush and sit on the patio and order a glass of water and enjoy the view.

MY REVIEW: Great architecture, lovely interior design and overpriced food. We all understand the tremendous mark-up on wine, but really, the food portions are ridiculously tiny for the money. Food is tasty, but nothing special. The upstairs lounge has a posh ambiance and adds a touch of downtown allbeit hot as a sauna. Service was sluggish immediately after opening, but they have soon remedied this and have a decent staff who's service skills are solid. All in all it's what you'd expect from a wanna-be-chic wine bar. Great atmosphere, a place to people watch, awesome singles hangout, but if you're hungry I'd recommend C*ru across the street. Hmmm, Crush-A Wine Lounge, C*ru-A Wine Bar. Ironic.
