Gio's Flying Pizza and Pasta

MY REVIEW: I'm really kind of obsessed with Gio's. We as a family come here all the time for the amazing (and affordable) pizza, the fun atmosphere, and we have this great waiter that almost always waits on us. Overall this restaurant knocks the socks off of most other restaurants in the area.

MY REVIEW: Just had to add my "two cents"and say that Gio' s is INCREDIBLE! Staff is always friendly and the atmosphere/ambience makes it a great place for "date night" with my husband or family dinner with the kids. But that is obviously not the best part of the restaurant. The food is Fabulous! Tonite my husband had the kitchen sink pizza and I had the salmon-yum! Pizza is just what everyone else has said, lots of ingredients and full of flavor-best we have tasted.

Salmon is high class food at a hometown price. So good. Thankful for a great place to eat so close to home. Kuddos to the owners and chefs.

MY REVIEW: in a word ...wow !! the best pizza i've had since the 60's, for all you baby boomers out there remember when you got a pizza back in the day and there was so much topping that it would fall off the slice when you picked it up... well this is it again. home made thin crust, lots of cheese and whatever toppings you want in a generous amount and they don't don't over power the pizza with the sauce either, it complements it.

this was me and my husbands first visit but it will not be our last. the waitstaff is friendly and the background music was at a nice low level and it's all stuff from singers like frank sinatra, sammy davis,jr. etc. you will not be disappointed!!

MY REVIEW: This place is great and one of the reason's is anyone on the lake should know that the guy that owns this place used to basically run M*ario's but, he upgraded the pizza stones and really goes the extra mile. It's like M*ario's 10 yrs ago.

MY REVIEW: Based on the reviews below, I decided to order a small Margherita pizza and a house salad for take-out. I was pleasantly surprised to see how huge the house salad was! It also had pepperoni, red onion, cucumber and pepperocinis. The pizza was phenomenal!! You would be missing out if you did not try Gio's!!! Love it!!!!

MY REVIEW: What an excellent place to eat. The first time I was there (a few weeks after it opened) I was immediately drawn to the food and atmosphere. I have had almost all of the dishes and have never been dissatisfied. The food is great and the staff is excellent. I am always greeted with a friendly smile and taken care of very well. I have had a few business meetings and engagements there. No matter the size of my party, the service is always the same, if not better. Gio's has catered a few events for me as well and I will continue to use them! Thank you for making this a warm and welcoming place for all.

MY REVIEW: This is a great restaurant. The restaurant is clean and very nicely done, the service is excellent, and the food is excellent. I have had several of the meals off the menu and the pizza. The pizza is far superior to anything else in the area. Never had anything that wasn't delicious. The prices are very reasonable. In fact, when I have a birthday party for my kids, I call and the manager gives me special pricing if I order several pizzas. This place is worth making yourself a regular!

MY REVIEW: My wife and I visited for the first time 1 week ago and it was GREAT! My wife had the margherita pizza and I had a pepperoni/hamburger and we were wow-ed with the taste. Also had the stuffed mushrooms and they were fantastic. We will go regularly and high recommend to anyone in the Dickinson/League City area!

MY REVIEW: My wife and I went there for lunch and were very impressed with the quality of food. I had the fetucine and the sauce was out of this world! It had the right of creaminess to it. Not too rich, nor not too light! I forgot the name of her dish which had spaghetti and chicken on the side with mushroom and it so good also. We ordered a pizza to take home for kids and they side by far it was the best pizza they ever tasted! As for me, nothing can beat Chicago deep dish, so I gave it the best pizza here in Texas award!

MY REVIEW: Tried Gio's for the first time based on good reviews on B4-U-EAT. I agree, this is excellent pizza. Had the 10" Meatlovers. Good crust, excellent toppings and generous, too. It's been a while since I ordered an individual pizza----been going to D*ouble Dave's buffet (which I think the one in League is pretty good). At Gio's the 10" yields about 6 pieces and costs $11 including tax. I wondered if that was a bit high, but upon checking prices online, I find that price is about average. But theirs is way above average in taste.

Tell you what else is above average: the service. I observed that all waitstaff seemed to be taking care of business and the manager visited each table. The interior is nice, not elegant, but pleasant. I got the impression that the patrons that were there on my 1st visit were regulars. About half were eating pizza and the other half had ordered entrees (which looked good). Looks like Gio's is real deal Italian.

MY REVIEW: This is by far the best pizza in Texas. I havent had a pizza this good in as long as I can remember. I was very excited to see a new place close to the house and we eat there at least once a week. We get the meatlovers and it is incredible. Girlfriend got the margehrita and she loved it also. We tried(sorry to Gios) the new place by target, it was the worst pizza and service ever. We will only eat at Gios for our pizza. Staff is always pleasant, we even showed up about 20 minutes to close and they were still very friendly and took care of us. Prices are very good, and the pizza is out of this world.

MY REVIEW: This is fabulous. There is one pizza place that currently delivers around here, a very popular one with a red roof and this particular location is the lousiest one I've ever seen, so Gio's is a MUCH appreciated addition to the area.

We went and ordered a medium pizza and my husband had the pasta marinara while I had the chicken fettucine alfredo. It was absolutely wonderful! The sauce was rich and tasted very authentic, especially the pizza sauce, with a nice sweet but mild flavor.

The waitress was very friendly, the food was prompt, the service was excellent. The decor is tasteful and the atmosphere was very nice. They will start delivery soon and we cannot wait! Thank you, Gio's, for coming to Dickinson!

MY REVIEW: I went for a early dinner here and the food was GREAT!!! the resturant was very fancy looking and the service was great...they gave my 4 year old some pizza doe to play with while we waited for our food...huge portions great price I will be comming back...GREAT JOB GIO'S

MY REVIEW: This is a great place to get a pizza. We always order a large hamburger pizza and it is more than enough to feed my family of 4. It is the best pizza I have had in the Houston area. We have only tried their other italian entrees once and although they were great for the price, it is their pizza that keeps us coming back again and again.

MY REVIEW: We were intrigued when we noticed a new pizza/pasta restaurant in Dickinson. Went first time on Friday evening. Were greeted and seated quickly. Menu lists probably 8 - 10 pasta dishes. Penne con Pollo was good and Paste E Fagioli soup was great. Waiter was outstanding. Service quick and prices very reasonable. Went back Saturday at lunch and ordered Pizza Margherita. One of the best pizzas that we have found in the Houston area. The pizza itself makes Gio's a can't-miss place. Atmosphere is very casual, with booths, tables, bar area and a couple of wide-screen tv's for sports. Highly recommend!!
