MY REVIEW: First of all it is freezing in there. Even my husband was cold which rarely happens. When we were seated we were asked for our drink order. I inquired about drink special and was told that beer on tap was $1 off until 7:00. Since it was a little after 6 I ordered a Miller Lite. After I had finished it I was told that the drink special had ended at 6 instead of 7. I ordered the Cajun Pasta with Grilled Chicken. It came with one side and I ordered the side salad with House Italian Dressing. The dressing came on the side and was just a bowl of olives in some kind of oil. I'm not an olive person so I traded it for Thousand Island. Our server asked if I would like an order of garlic bread so I ordered that. There was not a hint of garlic and the bread had a stale taste to it. I will say that the pasta and my husbands Smothered Hamburger Steak were delicious. We will probably be back but next time I will take a parka.

MY REVIEW: Love the food!
Great place to go and have a great Cajun meal with friends or family. Floyd himself is even there to greet you when you walk through the door most of the time. Great staff, as wells as a very welcoming atmosphere. Previously went to the Webster location, but though this one is just a little more expensive, it is worth ever penny. You must check it out at least once to form your own opinion. I can guarantee if you get at least one of the many items I have ordered so far, you will be a Floy'd regular for sure. :)

MY REVIEW: Wife was hungry for some crawfish, and having been to the Floyd's that used to be on Durham in Houston, and the one on the Gulf Freeway, decided to go the this one located in Pearland. I guess the combination of Friday night and people wanting to get out of the house after the recent freeze. The place was packed but we gave the hostess our name, and went to the bar for our 25 minute wait.
Oysters looked good, got a dozen of them and let me tell you, they were perfect. Cold, briny and perfectly clean, they along with our drinks were the perfect start. We had just got our second round of drinks when our name was called for our table. My wife got a pound of crawfish to start and I got another dozen oysters on half shell along with a cup of the crab bisque. Everything was brought to the table in short order. My wife said the crawfish was very good, just the right seasonings. Again the oysters were great and the bisque was out of this world. Lump crabmeat in a velvety smooth base. Just great.
For my entree I got the fried softshell crab platter and my wife got another 3 pounds of crawfish. The crawfish came out almost immediately after the order was placed and my order came out shortly after. Crabs were cooked to perfection and they must have just come out of the fryer as they were so hot I had to let them cool off. French fries accompanied the crabs and they were as hot as the crabs. We ate as if there were no tomorrow. Everything cooked perfectly. These people know crawfish and how to fry food.

MY REVIEW: had the red beans and rice bowl, added a lil tabasco, lil salt and pepper and was great as always. Then had the ceviche (asked for other half of avacado) and a portion of pico, then dumped it all on a round plate to cut up the shrimp into bite size pieces, then mixed the crab, extra avacado shrimp, sauce etc... it was DELICIOUS. Then had 6 fried shrimp with tartar sauce only. Not to mention 3 ice cold michelob ultras and a to go water for the road. I would highly recommend this entre or their oh so good burger and the coubillion(ask for very little fish and extra shrimp instead OMG it very good, anyways thanks again for the best food and hospitality.

MY REVIEW: This was the first time for me and my husband at Floyd's in Pearland----- the service was friendly, the decor was whimsically Cajun, the atmosphere was laid back and comfortable (jeans and t-shirts are welcome) and the location was clean.
Appetizer: LOVED THE FRIED PICKLES APPETIZER-- DELICIOUS!!
Entree: My husband had the country-fried chicken and fries; he enjoyed his dinner because the meat was huge and there was not too much batter on the meat PLUS the cream gravy was homemade and delicious (I tasted a hint of mushroom flavoring in it-- yummy)-- he had tons of french fries to take home because he got too full from the country-fried chicken.
I had the crawfish etouffee (per the recommendation of my nice waiter) and it was GOOD! It had tons of tail meat and the flavor was authentic and delicious!! The rice was perfect-- puffy big grains of white rice with a slightly sticky consistency-- perfect for soaking up all that tasty crawfish gravy! I scraped my plate-- all that was left was that lovely slice of decorative lemon with a bit of curly parsley sprinkled on top. I was slightly embarrassed--- NOT! :)
I must also mention that they had sweet ice tea (always a plus on my list, being that I am hard-core southern girl) and my husband was happy to have his good ole' root beer.
They also had a very nice bar that was homey and cozy-- I would not mind becoming familiar in that particular area of the restaurant. :)
I also noticed that they had a really cool picnic area out back with a little stage for a small zydeco band performance; all of the picnic tables had built-in buckets in the center of the table to capture all the crawfish shells that you could throw off of your own personal crawfish trough! Classic! So much fun can be had in this little outdoor patio area in the late afternoon/ evening hours but we ate inside to shield ourselves from the sun's rays (this patio area is not covered by any man-made structure BUT there are a few trees that could possibly provide you with some shelter from the heat).
Happy eatin, ya'll!

MY REVIEW: Over the past few weeks I have made it to Floyd's about once a week. Most of their seafood is pretty good, not excellent, but pretty good. This weekend I went back for lunch and wanted something light and ordered their large ceviche. It would say that their ceviche is the worst I have ever had, but it would be an insult to ceviche to call their dish that. Their so called ceviche consists of a beer mug with no more that two shrimp cut into pieces, some crab meat (very little) and filled to the top in a sweet cocktail sauce. In other words it has absolutely nothing to do with ceviche and it is disgusting.

MY REVIEW: I love the atmosphere. Food is always good, but their crawfish leave a lot to be desired. I go someplace else for crawfish. Even Floyd will tell you to go down the road crawfish are better there. Floyd's is one of my favs.

MY REVIEW: Knowing Valentines day would be one of the busiest nights of the year, I opted to place a to go order. Sure enough the business was out the door into the parking lot waiting for a table. I placed my to go order at the bar. The wait staff made a huge mistake with my order and allowed my food to sit there, ready for over 30 minutes. It was ice cold by the time I was notified. The owner quickly corrected the mistake without me having to say a word. Thank you Floyds, best food, best customer service I have ever experienced..

MY REVIEW: UTmom101 must have picked a bad day, or maybe, given her alma mater, she expected more than what would be reasonable. I am a weekly customer and have never been served a cold dish unless it was supposed to be, like raw oysters. Their chicken and andoulle gumbo is the best this side of Pierre Part.
The only thing I change is that I get the boiled crawfish with the "spinkle" on the side.....cuz when you suck every head, like I do, it gets to be a little much....but just fine for tail eaters. Best crawfish, best oysters, best gumbo....what more could one ask for?

MY REVIEW: This place is awesome!! The Cajun Ceviche is to die for and seafood that is fried is not greasy and does not have a ton of batter on it. Everything on the menu is great, especially the Potatoes Floyd. Get there early though because a lot of people think the way we do and it is crowded in the evening. It is well worth the wait.

MY REVIEW: Best Crab Bisque in the world! I haven't had a variety on the menu because I have my favorites. Oysters Floyd (ask the waitstaff, yum), po-boys. Always friendly service. They're always welcoming and appreciative. Love it!

MY REVIEW: My husband is a regular here and we went for lunch on his birthday. I ordered gumbo and he ordered shrimp poboy. THe gumbo was ICE COLD (horrible), so we sent it back to be heated. The onion rings on the poboy were undercooked, so we sent those back. After 25 minutes, we got onion rings, but never got the gumbo. How long does it take to heat up gumbo? The gal at the bar was very rude. THen she had the audacity to ask me if she should remove the charge..I won't go back in a long time-overpriced for quality. Ruined the birthday lunch.

MY REVIEW: The food is very good. Haven't had a bad meal there. The oysters are very good. The only problem is the wait and the bathrooms. Just add a couple of tables and a waiter or two and you could push a lot more people through there. Also the bathrooms are hideous. At least on the last visit they were semi-clean. Do something about the wait and the bathrooms and you'll have yourself a real gem.

MY REVIEW: This was my first visit to the new location near Pearland/Friendswood border. Have always enjoyed their I-45/NASA 1 location. And it appears this new store will live up to Floyd's good name. Boiled crawfish were highly seasoned and decent size. French fries are some of the best around. Appetisers of fried dill pickles and onion rings were good choices. Child's plate of chicken tenders was a good value and enough for most adults. Service was excellent. Only disappointment was a shrimp po-boy. Next time I'll skip the sandwich and go with a platter, or maybe a bowl of gumbo.

MY REVIEW: Floyd, as always, is very hospitable, and makes you feel very welcome and appreciative of the fact that you're there. He always checks on how things are going, etc., and that you're happy with your meal. He is, to say the least, quite a "character". Very entertaining. I wish him all the best with his latest endeavour.
Their gumbo is excellent, and they have a lunch special that will fill you up without emptying your pocketbook. Usually very crowded, until around 2 pm, then it slows down, picks up around 5, and slows down around 8:15 or so. So, if you've come when it's busy, now you know when it's the best time to come!
