MY REVIEW: The cafe was spacious and clean but very loud. I'd heard they have wonderful desserts. The food is similar to tea rooms across the Houston area. The food is plentiful. My daughter and I ordered the finger sandwich samplers. She couldn't eat the ham sandwich because it was too salty. My sandwiches were okay. We ordered a slice of coconut cream pie and buttermilk pie. Both were so sweet we couldn't eat them. I had to eat a saltine cracker to get the sweetness out of my mouth. That's the first time I've left a piece of pie on the plate. We won't be back. I had hoped for more because the location is great.

MY REVIEW: The first thing you see when you walk in is all the amazing dessert selections they have and they all look so good! The food was decently priced (comparable to other cafes in the area) and the food was delicious. I ordered a sandwich with potato salad and soup and it filled me up fast! The potato salad was a little different than I am used to, I would describe it almost as whipped mashed potatoes, still good.

The girls that work there are really friendly, helpful and were constantly making rounds around the cafe to see if they could assist customers. We were there at 2:30 and it was very busy, constant in and out traffic (a lot of bakery/pick up orders) but still a good portion of sit-downs considering the time. I will definitely be returning and hopefully saving room for dessert next time!

MY REVIEW: Have been to the new location twice ( there is one in Pasadena, never been), for dessert only. The cheesecake is very, very, good. Its unique in its texture in that its not the heavy, dense NY Style, but rather has a creamy, light body to it. The flavor is excellent. Second time was the chocolate layer cake. It was good. I liked the freshness and flavor of the cake itself, and the frosting was just right. The GF had carrot cake and said it was very good. The service was excellent and the young girls working there were all smiles and cheer. Good place to go if you have a sweet tooth, like I do.

MY REVIEW: It would be easy to overlook this place, sitting at the rear of a large strip center, not really visible from either BW8 or Fairmont. And it would be a shame to overlook this place. The food is good, the staff nice and it's as clean as it is cute. It's where full service bakery meets sandwich shop.

I ordered the roast pork loin sandwich with rasberry chipolte sauce on grilled sourdough. Different and very good. It came with delicious creamy spinanch soup. It's called The St. Charles--$8.75. It's next to impossible not to order desert at this place. The praline topped cheese cake is tall, creamy and at $3.75 is the most expensive of all deserts served by the slice. But that's not a bad price considering they cut a generous serving.

I was told that the day I visited they had begun construction on a new store in Clear Lake near the intersection of Hwy 3 @ Clear Lake City Blvd. These are tough economic times to be opening a new business, but their product is top notch, so they stand a good chance.

They have an impressive selection of "Family Meals to Go", mostly casseroles, lasagna and spaghetti. You can get a large casserole that serves 6 for $25 with a quart of green beans, for instance, for another $5. Let's see, a home-style meal to go for the price of 6 burger combos? That concept should appeal to the commuters living in the neighborhoods close to where their new store will be located in Clear Lake.

MY REVIEW: What a great restaurant! Can't say anything bad about this place. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly and the place is always clean. Pasadena is known for it's fast food and taqueria restaurants so Magnolia Cafe is a welcome change. I will definitely be a "regular".

MY REVIEW: Ordered a 10 inch Italian Cream Cake for my wife's birthday and the taste was phenomenal. I have ordered cakes from all over Houston from high end to mom and pop shops and this one by far is the best. We received so many compliments about the freshness and the amazing taste and questions of where we bought it. Will definitely order from here again.

MY REVIEW: Magnolia serves a nice lunch menu and offers home cooked meals at reasonable prices. Their dessert selection is wonderful. Iv will definitely go back. They offer take-home meals and think it would be a great pit-stop on my way home from work when it is my turn to cook. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

MY REVIEW: Went for lunch, had it prepared to go. Tucked away in a strip mall, how have I missed this place for the last 2 years? Love the the interior looks. The prices are good and the desserts look too good to only make 1 choice.

I chose the strawberry cupcake for my daughter. The frosting on the cupcake was the best, she said it even had a strawberry in it. Also got the chocolate pie. Slices are too big to finish, will have to get a slice of cake next time.

Will definitely go again. Sandwiches are good, will have to try the other menu options next time, the king ranch chicken looked good and the price was right, 9.00 to feed 2 people.

MY REVIEW: Have been going since they opened. Excellent food, huge portions, good prices, great wait staff, always clean, have never been disappointed. Depends on what day of the week, but some days at lunch you will have to wait for a table.

MY REVIEW: My mom and I were looking for a new place to eat. We loved our experience here. I order the Chicken Pesto Panini, my mom had the BLT and we shared a Caesar salad. We loved, loved, loved the food. They had a great variety, the atmosphere is trendy, the staff was friendly and the food tasted great. What more can you ask for?

MY REVIEW: Excellent bakery with wide variety, sandwiches, soups, desserts, to-go casseroles, salads, quiches, etc. Specials everyday. Most items come with mini-muffin, salad. It is counter order place and needs a little more ambience considering the type of menu, but refreshing for Pasadena.

Try it!!
