MY REVIEW: Was there once long ago, went back because I got a good coupon deal. We went on a Sunday evening right when it opened and were quickly seated, so we did not have the Friday night problems. It did become crowded;apparently they do a lot of business due to Groupon. (We had a different coupon)

The decor is different, kind of wine cellar'ish. The salad bar was ok, but then we did not go for the salad bar. The meat was very good, with a wide variety - so much so it was hard to be sure we had tried the all. (The sirloin and wrapped filet mignon were our favorites.) While once we had to catch the eye of a server, generally we had more than enough service. And the pineapple on the skewer that other reviewers mentioned - it was great.

Overall this place is no F*oga de Chao, but neither is the price. And it's more of a local place than a corporate place. For the price - well worth it. I'd go again even without a coupon.

MY REVIEW: My husband and love this place, we have not experienced the extreme delays as others but we have had to wait a few minutes to be seated, by the time we go to the bar an order two of their AWESOME native drinks (can't remember the name) we are being called for our table. The salad bar and sides are good in their own right but the meats are the STARS of this show my favs are the garlic beef and the chicken hearts. We like others tried this place on a groupon and it was well worth it.

MY REVIEW: I made a reservation 3 days ahead, planning to redeem a groupon. arrived and found out that they would not be able to seat until 30 minutes past reservation time. this restaurant CLEARLY overbooks reservations bigtime, and you don't find out until arrival. I don't put up with that. I have purchased and satisfyingly redeemed groupons at other restaurants in town that don't do that and there are other restaurants with similar cuisine

MY REVIEW: A lot of negative reviews due to reservation bookings...though for a very good reason...it took us 2 weeks to set up a reservation...but worth the effort! Excellent taste, cooked to perfection and that pineapple ... is the bomb! Excellent service. My wife and I enjoyed our visit there...we were not rushed to leave. We had the brazilian mixed drink...forget the name...but excellent drink...forget the desert...we just did not have room!!! We are going back soon!! Nice Date for you and your spouse!!!

MY REVIEW: This was my first visit here. I brought my whole family. We had a groupon, so instead of it being close to $160, it was $100 including tip. The restaurant isn't that big, and the outside of the building doesn't give the inside any justice. The salad bar isn't that amazing, but honestly, who goes for salad? The mashed potatoes were my favorite side. The sirloin was to bloody for me, but when we told them we liked it well done, they immediately brought out five well done peices for us. The pineapple is AMAZING! I had about ten peices! But this place is pretty good. I would return.

MY REVIEW: Very disappointing experience, similar issues to other reviews. We had a reservation on 06/09/12 at 8pm. They were overbooked as usual and we did not get a seat until 8:50pm. Strike 1. We proceeded to go through the "limited" salad bar - it was ok but not much to choose from. We then went and got our own fresh plates for the meats. Then the wait begin, at least 10 minutes before we were served by the meat servers that come to your table, and only after I asked the server to route them to us. Strike 2. Throughout the night the service was exceptionally slow. both the meat and drink refills, etc. We were never once offered fresh plates, and had to ask to get one. Strike 3. Decent meats, poor service and a long wait even with a reservation. No plans to return!

MY REVIEW: Everytime I tried to make a reservation within 1 weeks time, I was told none were available. I finally made one 2 1/2 weeks out. Upon arrival 10 mintues early we were directed to the bar along with many people. So people were waiting, there were not enough seats. We were told it would be 15 minutes which became 30 minutes. Not sure why I needed a reservation to have the privilege to wait for 30 minutes. If I had not had a Groupon, I would left. The point is to get people to try your place. They failed the basic service test. After finishing salad, the meat came, but we did not have clean plates. The busboy got the chilled plates from the salad bar for our hot meat. They did not have the wine we ordered and tried to sell us a bottle that cost $16 more than what we had ordered. Not interested in returning.

MY REVIEW: We visited this restaurant with a Groupon and were concerned due to some mixed previous reviews. Those concerns were put to rest after our enjoyable feast. First of all, reservations on a Friday were necessary because we noted the hostess turning away a few people who just wandered in. The 5 of us were promptly seated at our table. The waiter encouraged us to go to the salad bar. As some of the reviews state, the salad bar did not contain 200 items like other restaurants. On the other hand, it had a variety of offerings that were fresh, and freshened up quickly. We enjoyed this part of the meal, but limited our eating pleasure to wait on the meat. As promised on the web site, every type of meat was brought to the table. Also, the waiters brought it every often. We found ourselves turning them away every few minutes. We passed on the dessert because we were too full. In review, the food was excellent, even more than excellent. The service was outstanding. The waiter changed out our plates probably 7 to 8 times. The downside is that the price could be a bit much if paying the $34.95. The only reason for a 4-star rather than 5-star rating was that we asked the waiter to bring the owner, who was in the back. We waited 5 minutes and he never came. All we wanted to do was commend his food and staff. The waiter advised us he was coming in a minute, but he never showed up.

MY REVIEW: I usually dont write reviews but after reading the ones already posted - reality check here. We were given a Groupon for 4 - made reservation 1.5 weeks in advance. Arrived @ 7:20 for a 7:30 reservation. Was told by a very rude hostess that it would be 15-20 minutes. The waiting area was packed with many others who were complaining about having to wait going on an hour not to mention so many of us had 7:30pm reservations. Finally seated at 8:45 - wait time 1.25 hour with an advance reservation. Please note many of us were not sure how the seating / reservations were being prioritized as others that arrived later were seated ahead of others that had been waiting for close to an hour. Anyways, the salad bar lacked in variety and the sides were black beans, white rice and instant potatoes. We received one basket of bread and never saw the bread server again. A waitress came to the table to ask if we knew how the service worked and we said yes and she walked off - never saw her again either. Needless to say this no comparison to F*ogo and we will never return. An oh, we had to have our check redone because it was incorrect when received - another 15-29 minutes wait.

MY REVIEW: After reading reviews,I was somewhat apprehensive to going. We had a groupon coupon for $35.00 for 2. We had reservations for 5:30 and arrived at about that time. We were seated right away and explained to about the services. The salad bar was set up a little different, but it had some quality items on it. When we turned over our card to green, the waiters started bringing the meat around pretty steady. The top sirloin.tri-tip,lamb,chicken wrapped in bacon, chicken leg, sausage, pork ribs, garlic beef and pineapple were all good and flavorful. The steak was cooked just the way I liked it, medium rare! I will go back.

MY REVIEW: I had read all the reviews and was hesitant. My wife had purchased a groupon deal before we had a chance to really do much homework. Since we had wonderful experiences at other churrascarias (N*elores and F*go), we had similiar expectations. Then we read all the reviews and had pretty much prepared ourselves for an experience short of those previous ones. Overall it was a good experience and we enjoyed our meal but it is not on par with the other churrascarias. As cited in the other reviews, the salad bar is disappointing. It had no actual salad except spinach leaves and it's offerings were sparse. The meat did come out in waves but we received plenty and didn't ever have to wait too long. They did keep bringing out the filet mignon and the house specialty was only presented twice on our entire visit. So the variety of meat was not well spaced and heavily weighted on 1 or 2 offerings of meat. Although we were not interested in the chicken (beef for us), they never brought that out until the very end. The bread was very good and they kept our drinks full. The setting is not great. Overall it was just ok. If you are going for the experience of the more mainstream churrascarias, this will possibly disappoint. But with our deal, we left happy. My only advise is do not set your exectations too high or this place will disappoint.

MY REVIEW: Service at this place is great ask fo Kenneth - the restuarnt has a good selection at a fair price! food is very good. I really feel like they try hard to give you as authentic of an experience as possible. Tonight they had live music (nice). One strong positive is if you ask for something special they go way above and beyond to make it happen. (ex we wanted the chicken breast without Bacon and they made a whole skewer for our table)

MY REVIEW: I used to live in Rio and ate all types of churrascaria's. I've been to F*ogo de Chao many times. Angus Grill is the most authentic I've found--even it's gently worn appearance. My children and I believe the meats have far more flavor and are far more like what you receive in Brasil. F(dC is gummy American meat sliced too thick with no flavor. Indeed, we were there last week and could not believe how burned the meats were. Yes, Angus Grill has a spartan salad bar but its more than sufficient. Yes, the service can be slow at times but its more representative of the pace of a true churrascaria than the table flipping intensity of F*dC. The qulaity of the meat is just far superior if you like the flavor and texture of grass-fed beef. We've never had an issue getting meat that was rare to medium (we don't eat well done meat.) The bacon wrapped chicken or filet mignon and the chicken legs are exactly the flavor you find in Brasil--simply outstanding. And Angus Grill serves chicken hearts! Last comment--if you've never had Creme de Papaya, go to Angus Grill and have it for dessert and be sure to have the Casis poured onto it. You will be transported to Rio! I am a serious critic of restaurants when they deserve it. But Angus Grill deserves a serious endorsement.
