Texas Sushi Hana

MY REVIEW: Best that my wife and I have found in the Kingwood-Humble area. Start with an appetizer of red snapper. It is NOT on the menu. Outstanding. Yes...there is a bit of a language barrier but Mr. B and Mr. H (chef's) go above and beyond in presentation. We have yet to order anything we did not like here. The wait staff is also top shelf. We go once a week and will continue.

MY REVIEW: I took my wife and two daughters to visit after I learned of its existence. I love to try new sushi restaurants especially in my area. I've frequently dine at about a dozen different sushi restaurants in the Houston area and three times that many during my travel across the US so I've had plenty of sushi variety but I'm not a sushi snob by any stretch. I'll start with the negative. I'm not sure if there was a language barrier but one of our appetizers we ordered wasn't ever brought to us. Once I brought this to their attention they profusely apologized but we opted to pass as we ordered too much food to begin with. The restaurant is small, some might call quaint and might have some difficulty accommodating a large group but the few times I have passed by they never appeared to terribly busy. Parking isn't always available in front so you may have to park in back and walk to the front. That is virtually all I can come up with that would be considered negative.

The positive. The location is in a nice part of Kingwood. The restaurant is clean in appearance inside including the men's restroom. We had tuna and yellowtail and the fish was fresh and delicious. I like the flavor of the spicy tuna. They're not afraid to put a little kick in it. The staff is attentive although this may have been because we were only one of three tables occupied.

The staff and chef were friendly and repeatedly checked to ensure we were happy with our order. The prices are reasonable and a good value considering the quality of the food. None of the rolls we ordered were over $10. They had some Thai food on the menu but we were there to try the sushi. Overall it was a very positive experience and my family and I will be back to visit in the near future. Keep up the good work Texas Sushi Hana!
