MY REVIEW: This place has the best burgers in town! An out-of-town friend & I had lunch there one day and were so impressed that we went back two days later before she left town w/ my husband. We were there again yesterday and I've gotta say the Blue Cheese burger is the best I've ever had! The sweet potato fries are also delicious. Give this place 5 stars (or whatever is highest).

MY REVIEW: Loved this burger! I have been telling my kids and my family we are going back ASAP. I ordered a cheese burger with pepper jack on a wheat bun and it was delicious, tasted fresh and cooked perfectly. I love the do it yourself toppings. Kids ordered the hot dog and chicken strips and I have to say it was one of the best hot dogs I've tasted in a while. Loved the fresh fries, the atmosphere was great, not too crowded, but i have a feeling that will change once people discover this place. The service was polite and quick. Can't wait to go back...maybe tonight!

MY REVIEW: Had dinner here last night with my husband and son. It was REALLY awful. Dining room had about 3 tables busy. Gal that took our order was dis-interested in the whole process...rolling her eyes, etc. Then she got the order wrong and when she finally DID bring it to the table my burger was cold and dry and the bun was stale; my husband's philly steak sandwich barely had any meat in it (he took it back and asked that it actually have some "steak" in it...that took ANOTHER 10-15 minutes to get served). The restaurant was dirty looking and the mustard wouldn't even come out of the sqirt bottles because the nozzels were dirty and clogged...we tried 3 bottles before we found one that would work. Waaay too expensive for this kind of experience! We won't be back.

MY REVIEW: I had the most amazing Bacon Cheese Burgers, onion rings and malt!!! The meat (never frozen), bun and all the fix-ins were so fresh. The staff was very courteous and I love the decorations! This place is the read deal. I will recommend it to my friends and family. We will be returning. There's no doubt this Burger Shack knows their business and knows what their customers want!

MY REVIEW: Reviews weren't encouraging but since it's in my neighborhood, wanted to give it a try to see for myself. Visited around 7:30-8pm & place only had 2 other tables w/customers. Very cute establishment...fun looking but very quiet. Had to go all the way to back to place order as no one up front to greet you. Waitstaff were pleasant enough. Paid $38+ for 3 burgers/fries & onion rings & drinks. A little pricier than most but if food good, then worth it.
My bleu-cheese burger was very delish! Juicy burger & w/my own handpicked condiments, a worthy burger! Now the fries were like shoestring & overdone but my kids liked them. I did like the o-rings though...yes, a little grease @ bottom of my basket but that's what makes them good! I got a sweet tea but it was stale, like it had been there all day so I had to pour out & get a soda instead. Why no fountain rootbeer? That's blasphemy @ a burger joint! Anyway, kids had the bacon/cheeseburger & even though cashier repeated our order, she apparently pressed avocado into the system because they got avocado instead of bacon. No prob, server took it back & came out quickly w/correct replacement.
Overall, burgers were good, service adequate & cute atmosphere...if they only had the customers to make it feel more alive...or turn up the music...something than the near dead silence while we were there. Oh, the Kay's Kitchen coconut pie I took to go was to die for! So yummy w/flaky crust...like it was made w/love & the $1 off coupon you get to use from your original order doesn't hurt either! We'll be back!

MY REVIEW: service was fast and polite but I won't be going back. I had a mushroom/Swiss burger with fries. It was so greasy I'm still trying to recover the next day. I'll be going back to F*ry's or R*ed Robin

MY REVIEW: We visited the first time on a Friday during lent, so tried the sea food. The fried shrimp were pretty good, but my fish was literally not cooked. I guess I shouldn't have expected amazing fried fish at a place with "burger and shack" in the title... took it back to the counter and was given a new one, it was better than average.
Just gave the place a second shot in the spirit of promoting small businesses. The burgers were good, but not great. Didn't like the fries, they were rather greasy and small (no larger than 1" long). Onion rings were pretty good.
Overall the place has a great atmosphere, decorated with collegiate and professional sports items. There are a few TV's to watch a game. The price will probably be what keeps us form returning. For two burgers, fries, onion rings and two drinks it was $25. Quite a price to pay for slightly above average food.

MY REVIEW: I took my wife to Burger Shack on the way home from church a few Sundays ago. I had a Shack Burger and my wife had the Cheeseburger. We made them combos by adding shack fries (my wife) and onion rings/strings and drinks.
I enjoyed my burger, as did my wife. 1/3 pound, and cooked properly to order. That's the plus. I did, however, have a few gripes. It doesn't take fifteen minutes to grill a few burgers and make sides. Service was friendly enough but slow. It was NOT busy. There were eight people inside, and four of them were already eating.
Gripe number two was the price. I can get the same burger at a competitor over on Kirkwood and the Katy Freeway for two bucks less. The only difference is that place doesn't have string-type onion rings, but we've eaten there for less money and included milkshakes. The burger wasn't bad, but I'm sorry... it ain't worth five bucks for a hamburger. They claim Angus beef, but who can really taste the difference when you're cooking on a flat griddle?
Lastly, both the fries and the onion rings were quite greasy. Tasty, but greasy. I used a lot of napkins to sop up the oil so I could actually eat them. There were small pools of oil at the bottom of the baskets.
Will I go back? Maybe.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I checked out The Burger Shack Grill for the first time after getting a promotional coupon to knock the price down. We don't understand any of the good reviews that this burger joint may have gotten in the past because of the terrible experience we had that night. The order taker didn't seem to care too much about anything but closing up shop (another 45 minutes ahead). WE ordered bacon on our burgers and when the orders came...no bacon. The onion rings were quite oily, and the so-called Blue Bell Ice Cream milk shakes were like chocolate milk in little plastic cups. They will never see us again. The manager, order taker, or whatever he was never asked us how things were or when we left never said a word. It was soooo "cold" in that place. No where near the best burgers in Houston.

MY REVIEW: this is a great place for a hamburger. I got mushroom and swiss and hubby got traditional and we shared onion rings. The burgers were terrific, the best mushroom swiss I have had. The onion rings were also wonderful and sampling rings is something I do a lot, fresh fried, sliced thin in a thin crispy batter. Go there.

MY REVIEW: This is what a Burger place should be! These guys are sooo friendly and the burger aroma smacks you right in the face. We came on a Saturday after the son's ball game and we were very happy with the service and the burgers. All of their ingrediants are really fresh and they make the fries and onionrings right there! Good fair prices on everything. This is our place for burgers!
The Texas Burger Guy needs to come here.

MY REVIEW: Having recently moved to the neighborhood, I had to check out the Burger Shack and was not disappointed. The burgers are made to order while you wait and taste as close to homemade as I have found in a restaurant. Delicious and juicy without being greasy. Loved the toppings, plenty of shredded lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and sliced! (not chopped, thanks) onion. The fries were pretty good too. The burger is a little larger than what I would like. Maybe the kids' menu will work better for me.
I'll be back!!

MY REVIEW: I am CONSUMED by the aroma that hits me when I walk in that door. My grandmother's home cooked burgers are alive and well at Burger Shack...LOL. Juicy, HUGE, cutting it in halves does not help. Absolutely wonderful! One thing - I want the original fries back. Don't like the new string fries that they have. Onion rings are to die for. Shakes are a sin. I visit once a week.
