MY REVIEW: THE BEST SERVICE,ALL ENTREES ARE DELICIOUS,THE COOK; WAYNE CALLS ME-- FIE CHI--CHINESE FOR 'FAT MAN'--NO MATTER- HANDS DOWN THE BEST WON TON SOUP IN CITY--COOK HAILS DOWN 35 YEARS OF KITCHENS, INCLUDING L*OTUS-ON DACOMA[GONE]. FAMILY SERVICE INCLUDES COOK WAYNE'S WIFE,LINDA. THE DESSERTS ARE SPECIAL LIKE BANANAS FOSTER BUT CALL AHEAD TO SEE THAT THEY ARE SERVING THAT DISH FOR YOU--TABLES ARE CLEAN SET FOR YOU TO COME--OR TAKE OUT. THE FINEST/CHINESE FOOD IN NORTHWEST HOUSTON EAT WITH NO FEAR-ENTIRE-MENU'S TOPS !

MY REVIEW: I have been going to Tung Hoi for about 20 years, I used to live nearby. It is a family run little place in an old strip center. I go here only for 2 things. They make the most unique hot and sour soup I have ever had, hard to describe, but I really like it, I have probably eaten in hundreds of Chinese Food places and only this place make it this way.
For entree I always get the oddly named "Pressed Chicken". It is deep fried, breaded, boneless white meat chicken, with a brown gravy that is somewhere between usual USA brown gravy and a Chinese sauce. It is served over bean sprouts and is best with fried rice and a little sweet & sour sauce. I have found everything else they serve to be just typical. My dining partner says the shrimp fried rice was very good, but the orange chicken was just OK. Bring a friend, get the hot & sour (the "small" is huge) and the Pressed Chicken (it is enough for 2) and give it a try.
