MY REVIEW: I have been to Hula Mamas for their dinner shows on several occassions. Their food does not disapoint.. I am now reviewing for our Company. We visited HULA MAMAS for our Company Holiday party, Chief Tama and staff not only were extremely flexible with us but they let us in their premises early (Thank you Chief) We were able to do all our company awards etc... then they went on with their wonderful Luau presentation and a GREAT GREAT SHOW!!! Our employees can not stop talking about it.. they had a WONDERFUL FUN TIME!!!... We will be back! My employees said: {"Lets do it again next year"}

MY REVIEW: My husband and I went to Hawaii a couple of years ago on our Honeymoon, and feel in love with Hawaiian food. We recently moved to Texas and were so determined to find some Hawaiian food. We were living in Channel view at the time and drove about 25 miles to go to Hula Mamas........lets just say WE ARE SO HAPPY WE DROVE THAT FAR! Hula Mamas has the BEST food ever! WE now live in Kingwood and I am at Hula Mamas at least once a week, if i had more money I would be there several times a week. IF you love short ribs and Katsu chicken you will love this place. I messed up one time and ordered BBQ chicken.......oh no, no....NO MISTAKE IT WAS THE BOMB! Im not a big fan of Macaronni salad, but let me tell you THIS IS THE BEST MACARONNI SALAD EVER! Their portions are BIG i can never eat a meal all at once I always have some left over....for seconds!
I LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!

MY REVIEW: VERY UPSET AT HULA MAMAS..My husband & I went to Hawaii on our Honeymoon so, When I found this place "hula Mamas" I was very excited to take my husband for our 5th Wedding Anniversary. Made reservations 1 month in advance and told them it was for an anniversary, Saturday night 10-22-11 came when we were to go. We drove from Deer Park,Tx to Humble, Tx. arrived at 7:15 pm. Was very hard to find the place because no lights outside were on. Doors never opened at 7:30pm which was stated on the sign on the door and like I was told when I made my reservations. Knocked on all the doors but not a soul anywhere. Waited until 7:45 pm and Our 5th Wedding Anniversary Dinner was spent at the taco stand in the parking lot. Thanks Hula Mamas!!

MY REVIEW: I had to drop someone off at the airport and new of the restaurant from when it was owned by someone else. I walked up and welcomed with a smile from a charming cute young gal. They had remodeled the place and it looked so much better than before and was expecting the same food as before. I was surprised to taste the best Hawaiian food I have ever had. I am someone who frequently eats hawaiian food when I can and this was very tasty and authentic. I loved it. I will definitely go back to take my family there and most likely to see the show too. You gotta try this place!

MY REVIEW: Great Fun for large group outing. Show was very professionally done. Felt like I was back in the islands. Food was fine esp fried rice and chicken. Noodles too bland. disappointed no poi or coconut dessert. Would definitely recommend it.

MY REVIEW: I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The show gets better every time I see it! I have been to Hawaii 15 or more times over the last 20 years and must say that the food at this place is as authentic as it comes! The few people who posted about "no dipping sauce" must think they are M*cDonalds or something! LOL! Kalua Pork has no need of sauce and this is not a Texas BBQ restaurant it is Hawaiian so if you must have sauce, stop at M*c'Ds first and get your sauce. (LOL)
AND as far as the price goes, you're not going to get more "BANG FOR YOUR BUCK" anywhere else as the $39.99 for the dinner with several entrees to choose from or like me, I get some of each along with a music show while we ate and the Polynesian show after dinner. I went to one of those "murder mystery" dinner shows downtown and they charged $80 per person and only ONE entree at dinner so don't let these very few whiners discourage you from trying the best kept secret in Houston; Hula Mama's Hawaiian Restaurant & Show! I will be going at least once a month!

MY REVIEW: Took the family to Hula Mama's last night. Food was good. Agree with another reviewer regarding no sauce for pulled pork or chicken. I used the Polynesian Meatball sauce to dip my pork in. Rolls were room temperature. My family really enjoyed the show. I got a free Hula lesson, and my 14-year old son also got to learn a dance on the stage. Drinks were NOT included in the price ($39.99/adult) and refills were NOT free.

MY REVIEW: Was very disappointed, the buffet consisted of salad (lettuce and salad dressing, the food was not stirred before allowing people to serve so the food on the top was cold, there was no sauce for the pulled pork or the chicken and the rolls were cold not even heated. The server took so long to take our drink order and when we asked for refills we NEVER got it. The show itself was entertaining, but NOT WORTH THE PRICE.

MY REVIEW: WOW! What a great experience! Since the first time that we walked into Hula Mama's, my family and I have been coming back for more!! The staff is not only absolutely beautiful, they are so friendly! The food is AMAZING and the dinner show was better than the one that we saw when we visited Hawaii!! The owner, "Chief Tama", is so wonderful, I can't say enough good things about this place. I just can't wait to go back again!

MY REVIEW: Never has a chance to eat. They lost 2 of the 5 couple reservations. Made us wait in the corner for 30 minutes. No service. Food is self-serve and buffet style. Wait until your number to be called. Remind me of my middle school days. As far as I seen, appetizer consisted of brownies and pineaple. Definitely not worth the price. The "restaurant???" created out of 2 park trailers. Parking lot has pot holes everywhere. It is a little one class higher than the TACOS STAND locate next to it, I think. I had been to Hawaii and eating in a nice restaurant at beach front is cheaper than the price they charge at this location (I would not call it Restaurant). Take your risk

MY REVIEW: We have been to Hula Mamas twice, enjoyed the dinner and show very much. The food was unbelieveable!!! The Christmas show was especially fantastic as this was so different from the first show we saw.
I would highly recomend this to anyone. This place is like no other. As we entered into Hula Mamas,, we felt like we were in another world,,, a South Seas Paradise if you will,, with smiling Faces that greeted us from the very start.
I would like to especially thank "Chief", for being the warm wonderful,, special Human Being,, that made us fell like we were the most important guests there. But,, that was how everyone in my party felt...
Thanks to all of Hula Mamas Human beings from that South Seas Paradise, that contributed to a one of a kind show that we will never forget.
"Houston",,,, You got a Winner!!!!

MY REVIEW: Strong Points - A LOT OF FUN and fantastic food!
Week Points - We were seated off to the side making it a little hard to see the stage, but the place was packed out.
Specialties - the Pulled Pork was positively the very best I have ever tasted, including the Luau at P*aradise Cove in Oahu.
Ambiance - "interesting" - I was a little shocked at first because it is so casual, but it grew on me. As they got into the show I forgot about the space and just enjoyed the show.
They make you feel VERY welcome, the food is good, the dancers are amazing. We were there one night when they had a guest "Fire Sword Dancer". He was awesome. The ticket price has recently gone up and it is a little high, but it is worth it enough for me to make a return visit. This is as close to going to Hawaii as you can get. Alohaaaaaaa.
