MY REVIEW: I frequent the Brick house on hwy 290 and have never had a bad time. The hwy 59/1960 location was a completely different story however. Our 1st waitress while being friendly and attractive was extremely slow to put in / pick up our orders... not that big of a deal. We then decided to move to the patio, hope for better service, and take advantage of the smoking section. It looked to be a great move as our waitress was excellent... then a large party moved next to us and immediately complained about our smoking, so since we had the room we moved our table about 5' away from them. 10/15 minutes later the guy came back to our table... belligerent this time, and he picks a fight, literally inviting my friend outside... long story short the manager told us to leave for smoking in the smoking section. Wont go back to this location.... EVER

MY REVIEW: Really nice menu, and the food is very good. However, the service is pretty bad. On the first visit, the food was brought out by someone other than our waitress, and the waitress could not even identify what the food was, much less give it to the correct person. One the second visit, our waitress took our drink orders, came back short a drink, and then disappeared for 5-10 minutes. Eventually, a *different* waitress came by to take over. When the food finally came out, 3 different people got the the wrong sides.

Management seriously needs to train the waitstaff on the basics of food service.

MY REVIEW: I have been going to the Brickhouse for several years, and I used to enjoy going there with clients, co-workers, Friends, the Wife, etc. I don't know what has happened in the past 6-8 months maybe a management change or something. The majority of the time now -- service from the wait staff is slow, un-attentive, items get charged on the ticket that were not ordered, if you bring it to their attention they give you dirty looks and disappear for 20 minutes -- flat out, it's Piss poor -- now the Brickhouse is not even on the radar for places to go.

3502 Seawall Blvd, Galveston, Texas 77550

MY REVIEW: I've been to the Galveston location and had a great time. The wide patio overlooking the gulf is one of the best spots on Seawall Boulevard (imho). The deviled eggs make a super tasty quick appetizer when you are coming in from the beach and need something to eat quick while you decide what to order. The fresh baked pretzels with dipping sauce are totally addictive. And the "black and bleu" burger with cajun spices and blue cheese was perfectly done.

However, on my last visit I ordered the Sirloin Sandwich and was totally disappointed. It's not at all how the menu describes...it's more like a French Dip sandwich covered in cheese. The cheese melted on the outside of the bread makes it difficult to hold and the whole thing just becomes a big mushy mess. They definitely need to rethink that recipe.

My friends all liked their orders and we loved the selection of beers that you can get in the tableside "bong".

The service is good but a little flaky sometimes. I onlly have one major complaint: I get the atmosphere that they are trying to create by having the waitresses be overly friendly/flirty...but they need to be able to read the individual customers and tables. Some people like it and some people don't. My advice would be for the not to stay too long "flirting" at any table. There is nothing more frustrating than needing something from your waitress in order to eat your meal (ie. a drink, fork, ketchup, the sauce you asked for when she brought the food) and she's ignoring you because she's fake flirting with a some old drunk dude at another table who's not eating at all. The place is still new so hopefully they will get this little kink worked out. In the meantime, I'm willing to overlook this problem in exchange for the view, atmosphere and mostly awesome food.

MY REVIEW: I know the Galveston location has yet to open, but I go to the one on 290 quite a bit. The food is GREAT! You will find things on their menu that you will not find anywhere else. The girls are always so friendly and hospitable, that you always feel welcomed and want to come back as soon as you leave. I can only imagine how awesome the Brick House will be on the beach! I wish i lived closer to the island so I can frequent that one as well. If you have never been... GO! The music is great, the dim lighting, pub like feel, the glow of the fire pits, the incredible bar... what else can I say?

MY REVIEW: Love the appetizers - had the zucchini curls for the first time last night and now have a new favorite. Drinks are reasonably priced, service is usually good. What made me happy last night, however, was getting a to-go box that was heavy cardboard instead of styrofoam. It appeared to be more environmentally friendly. The place gets noisy on busy nights, but I still enjoy my visits.

MY REVIEW: The appetizer blue and white chips is fantastic. The CHicken Parm sandwich is also very good. Strongly advise them. Excellent Service.

MY REVIEW: I came here with my family to try out this place.

I love how they decorated the place. The outdoor patio is pretty neat. I love the fireplace.

We decided to sit inside. I love the music selection. I felt like I wanted to go to the club afterwards :)

Let's cut to the chase. I will not return. The food was cold and taste like microwavable food. Pretty disgusting. Pricey for what it is.

The service was pretty slow. It wasn't even a busy night.

I will not return for the food...maybe just to have drinks.

MY REVIEW: This is one of the best places to watch games, especially if you get one of the recliners. The game watching set up is great, great beer selection. However, I have tried several different things on the menu, and I have yet to find anything that tastes good other than their pretzel bites. If you are just going to watch games and drink, though, there are not many better places.

MY REVIEW: I love this place. The food is awesome and is fresh to order. The staff is really professional and the girls are trained well. Over 80 beer selection and did I mention Recliners and beer bongs? Great place to eat and hang out.

MY REVIEW: Cute girls, great music, terrible food. The chopped steak looked and tasted like processed beef, my friend's sloppy joe was out of the can. It is the worst food I have ever eaten at a restaurant. If want to go for drinks while you watch the girls, sports on the TV and enjoy the music, fine. Just don't order any food.

MY REVIEW: Went here with a couple buddies after lunch to watch tv and have some beer. We were seated in the back near a tv. We stayed a few hours and were having a pretty good time until the manager came over and told us we would need to move because he had a party of 150 arriving. What kind of place is this? After sitting in the same spot for hours we have to move? We got the check and decided to take our money elsewhere. We asked the waitress Liz to put it on two seperate credit cards. Once we signed the credit slips Liz returned and asked why we had tipped her so low. We told her to add both credit slips together and she would see her tip was appropriate. She was so embarrased she walked away. She had thought we only tipped her the amount on one slip. I have never been questioned by a waitress about a tip I left. What nerve. The food isn't nothing to speak of neither. Go next door and you will be treated better and the food is a lot better.

MY REVIEW: Goods: Beautiful place, one of the best looking sports bars in Houston. Patio is cool, lots of TVs, chairs, its a nice place to hang out. Beer bongs are neat, and probably the only reason I enjoy going with friends. The girls are friendly and are trained to engage with the customer. They also let you park in the grass if there is no parking.

Bads: Dont go for the food or expect great service. Food is cheap and is way over priced. Small portions. Poor drink selection. They have limited draft beers and are missing several higher end name brand liquors. Bar is small and poorly designed (Half inside half outside) making it difficult to get a drink when not seated, and when busy. Not a lot of standing room inside. While a nice place, I dont think its well designed as far as crowd and movement control.

Overall, Brick house is a trendy hangout joint. I suggest go check it out with friends. Thats about it.

MY REVIEW: I have been to Brick House since day one. But I think the new has worn off...they can not keep girls working the floors, don't know what the problem is but they loose 50 girls a month. The food is just horrible...its warmed up on a microwave and its just not worth the price.

All this being said if you want a nice place to drink and hangout then is one of the best in town. If you looking for fine dinning..you need to head to M*acDonalds as it is much better food than Brick House food!
