MY REVIEW: Food was good, but expensive for lunch, and limited choices. I hope they do well, but I can't imagine too many people going here on a regular basis - - which is critical for this type of operation.

MY REVIEW: I am so happy to have found this place right in my backyard!!!!! It has very modest decor but the cooks are excellent. I took my family here this weekend so we could try it after reading the reviews on here! The food is awesome! I had the curry chicken (OMG), with mashed potatoes, and string beans. My mother got the smothered pork chop, string beans and yams and my husband got the oxtails with cabbage, rice and potatoes. Everything was magnificent! I will definitely be back again and again and I have been telling everyone about this place.

MY REVIEW: Oh my gosh! This is the best Carribean food I've had in the Houston area. My husband and I went there for the first time tonight. I had Curried goat, peas & rice ,sweet potatoes and green beans-husband had Smothered pork chops with mashed "real potatoes" also smothered in the gravy and green beans. Clean, bright and comfortable. A really nice casual cafe--with big flavors. I highly recommend Victors if you like home cooking with a Carribean taste. Try the bread pudding!

MY REVIEW: Victor;s Oxtail is a welcome Mom and Pop addition to the Woodlands, an area dominated by cookie cutter chain restaurants. The Chef's Carribbean origins are reflected in the menu along with his mastery of creole and soul food. The oxtail is tender and succulent(best i have ever eaten),the pork chops tender and robust, the flavors evocative and smoky. The vegetables are crisp and tasty .There is crawfish etouffee worthy of any restaurant in New Orleans and everything on the small menu is fresh and cooked with care. The restaurant is clean and spotless and the staff are friendly and helpfull .Would highly recommend it!!

MY REVIEW: My family and I have tried several items on the menu and all were excellent! However, you haven't lived until you try the Bread Pudding! OMG! The very best we've ever had! Resturant is super clean and staff and owner are super friendly. Sometimes I just pick up dinner for the family on my way home from work and it's always ready, hot and yummy!

MY REVIEW: I tried oxtail (the food) for the first time today. My brother got the smothered pork chop. Both could be cut with just a fork. The mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese were both perfect. Even the iced tea is something special.
The restaraunt itself is decorated simply, and it was quiet, but I could see how it might get loud if there were more people eating (we came at an off hour). The dining room is family friendly, as is most of the food.
Service is cafeteria style, but someone will still be by to check up on you and make sure everything is OK.
All in all, it was great food at a good price from great people. I will definitely be back.

MY REVIEW: The food is excellent. I had the roast and my daughter had the chicken fried chicken. I am actually jealous, because the food is better than my home cooking. The variety of food is great and a great value for the money! Staff and owner very friendly! I'm so pleased to have this new restaurant in our neighborhood.
