MY REVIEW: For once I waited a month before I ran on down to a new restaurant. I had made a bad habit of going too soon and then being disappointed when they didn't have it together. Hue is a very good looking place with beautiful wood and an airy feel. The lunch menu was small. Lunch did not include the usual.. spring or soup starter. We ordered the mushroom cannaloni. It was unusual but very good. Hard to eat with chopsticks but we made do. I had the shrimp vermacelli. It was a large portion and the shrimp were excellent. My friend could not find anything to order as most of the entrees were meat so she asked for a substituion and got tofu curry. Again, order was quite large. It was only as we were walking out the door that we saw the special bento box which seemed to have everything we would have wanted to order all for one price. We were disappointed the waiter did not mention it

MY REVIEW: We dined at Hue restaurant Saturday night, and found the overall experience very enjoyable. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in soothing green and earth tones. Very modern and clean. We were greeted at the door by a cheerful hostess, and seated promptly without a reservation.
The wine list was our first nice surprise. Although not a large selection, the most expensive wine was about $60 a bottle. We ordered a $24 bottle of something called Luna Freakout which was actually very good, considering the price! Our appetizers were the crepe, and wonton soup. The crepe was very, very tasty, but a little messy to eat. The wonton soup was good, but different tasting than your average Chinese variety. Our entrees were the Shaking Beef, which was delicious, and the steamed sea bass, which was a bit bland, but after all...it's steamed fish. Very healthy, and very fresh though! We thought the portions were more than adequate, in fact we almost couldn't finish our entrees.
The best part of the evening though, was the gracious and helpful staff. One of the most courteous and attentive waitresses we've had anywhere in quite some time. She was maybe a bit new at waitressing, but her efforts were most appreciated. On a cooler day, the back patio will be a fantastic place to dine and enjoy some cocktails. Just lovely. We will be back!

MY REVIEW: Me and my wife went to Hue last night. I enjoyed the food very much. The service was very polite although our waiter seemed a bit nervous. However, he did an excellent job so I think he was new. My wife had the Leichi martini which was very strong. I had the Pineapple Mojito which was refreshingly delicious with fresh cut pineapple chunks. We ordered the drinks, and two minutes later the waiter said they were backed up at the bar and it would take a little while. I liked the fact that he gave me information, however I wouldn't have even noticed because it had only been 2-3 minutes. Then, one minute later the drinks arrived. They were excellent.
We started with the royal spring rolls with filet mignon which are messy to eat but quite tasty. The peanut sauce had a spicy kick and I loved it. We then decided to get a Vietnamese Crepe which we both found to be outstanding. It is served crispy style with shrimp and other standard crepe ingredients. At this point, I ordered a beer and the waiter came out two minutes later and said they had accidentally frozen the beers. I told him no big deal, then two minutes later he came with a very cold beer that was on the house. I LOVE really cold beer, so this was great.
My wife had the steamed sea bass which was the best tasting dish of the night. It is served over glass noodles and had a spicy flavor and crispy texture on the outside, melt in your mouth texture on the inside. I ordered a beef dish over greens (first dish on the entrees, can't remember the name). It was quite good, however, it could have used a little more spiciness. I was amazed at the large amount of Filet Mignon that was served over the greens. For $14.00, it was an excellent value. Overall, I enjoyed our dinner very much. It was the perfect amount of food. Our bill was $85.00 for two with 3 specialty drinks and 1 beer, 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. The restaurant was about 3/4 full and is the only tenant in an otherwise empty strip center. My only complaint would be that they do not provide any condiments. Perhaps some spicy sauce or peppers should be given with the entrees. We will definitely go back.

MY REVIEW: This was our second visit to Hue. The first was a bit mixed (mine was good - his was not). This time everything was very good. The portion size was also better this time. I made a special request with the Seafood Curry and it was not a problem. The timing was a bit off as our main dish arrived before we had finished our starter. I think my favorite thing about Hue is there are several smaller dishes that you can mix and match. Or you can go with a regular entree if you are looking for a full meal. Either way, this place is good food at a good price. We'll be back.

MY REVIEW: Outstanding quality Vietnamese restaurant, location, decoration and cleanliness. We found the place accidentally and feel very lucky. My wife and I had eggrolls and summer rolls for appetizers and Shaking beef and duck salad for the main course. Everything was cooked and served perfectly. The only complaint we had was there is no dessert available. By the way, the hot tea was also delicious. This restaurant is a head and shoulder above the other top Vietnamese restaurants in town.
We can't wait to come back and we hope HUE keeping up with her food quality.

MY REVIEW: We had a fabulous dinner here and plan on coming back due to the excellent food quality as well as the attentive and first class service we received. The flavors were fresh and savory, the presentation was elegant, and the surroundings had a lovely Asian-chic clean feel. They are working on getting their patio completed which will add an elegant al fresco dimension to this experience. If the quality of the food continues (btw, the prices are so freakishly unbelievably reasonable for this area) this will become a regular go-to place in my "let's meet at"...invite.

MY REVIEW: I thought the restaurant was lovely. Very cool decor, nice to have a vietnamese restaurant with chic style at last and a nice bar too. The Imperial Rolls with marinated tiger shrimp were extremely tender, succulent and tasty. For my entree I had the Shaking Beef which was melt in the mouth tender with great flavor.
As far as portions are concerned then I had no problem. I am constantly amazed by the American need for HUGE portions. Remember that when you go for a meal it is for one meal, not one meal and then doggy-bag for a meal the next day. I thought it was fairly priced and the portions were great, I went for lunch and left very satisfied, certainly won't be needing dinner. I look forward to going when the patio is open in a month or so.

MY REVIEW: Very nice decor, great location, and ample parking. Service was friendly and attentive and the cocktails were awesome.
The food was very good. We loved the tiger shrimp spring rolls, calamari salad, and banh xeo. Everything was made to order and tasted very fresh. The calamari was very tender and the dressing was to-die-for.
The only gripe I have though, is that the portions were so small! A traditional banh xeo is huge - even though it's considered an appetizer, I'm usually stuffed after eating one. Hue's version was so small, I could eat 10 of them and still be hungry. And that was the overall problem - the 4 of us spent $150 on 4 dishes, 6 cocktails, no dessert (they only have ice cream), and we left still hungry.

MY REVIEW: the decor of hue is incredible. beautiful, yet very casual and not pretencious. we came in for lunch with my office and were greeted by very nice hostess' and seated promptly. the menu's are draft menu's right now, we were told they are working out the prices and portions but want people to definately taste the food and fall in love. we did exactly that!
even though it took a while to get our food, we enjoyed every bit of it. the kitchen and staff aren't expected to be on point with their first few weeks of opening, but they definately tried. we ordered the imperial rolls, sweet viet soup, hanoi noodles, and crispy red snapper. i can't complain about ANY of it. i think this is the only place that rolls spring rolls to order, unbelievable.
we will definately keep coming back, expecially now that they are building a patio in the back.
