MY REVIEW: I have eaten here before and it wasn't bad but our Thanksgiving experience was really pretty awful. We reserved a table in advance thinking they might be really crowded. They were busy but hardly overwhelmed with customers. There seemed to be plenty of waitstaff yet we waited over an hour to get our assumedly pre-prepared turkey dinner which was cold when we got it. When we asked our waiter where our food was he looked like a deer in the headlights. He never came back to ask if we wanted refills on our tea. My son had to get up and go find someone to bring us some tea/ We will not go there again.

MY REVIEW: We frequent this restaurant for business and personal. One of the things other than the great food and awesome bread and muffins is the management staff are great. This location has been very supportive of both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and they really take pride in helping their community and providing excellent customer service. Our Girl Scout troop did our cookie booth outside their door last spring and we have already reserved our troop Christmas party for this December.
I'm afraid I don't understand other people's bad experiences here. If you don't like a food, they'll replace it no questions asked along with coupons and anything else you want. They really bend over backwards to make sure you are completely happy. I don't know any other place in town that does this. Their chicken tenders are excellent along with a wide variety of menu choices. It is affordable and versatile with kid menus and I couldn't rate this restaurant any higher.

MY REVIEW: This is one of the worst "restuarants" I have ever been to. It's like a D*enny's with a fake French theme. Drinks were watered down, a lot of the food was from frozen. Pasta overcooked. Salt content is through the roof. Service slow, though friendly. The menu is very badly designed and confusing. I was more mad at myself for not leaving the moment I walked in the door. I haven't been any place this unacceptable in decades.

MY REVIEW: Mimi's advertises an assortment of crepes and lists them on the menu. We ordered breakfast crepes on Wednesday morning and were told they were “fresh out, have something else and comeback for crepes on the weekend.” We returned early Sunday morning and uuup, fresh out of crepes again! The management's clear misrepresentation of product availability, lack of integrity and inability to correct the problem belies a bigger problem at this cafe. The switch to eggs Benedict was disappointing (small eggs) and unimpressive presentation. Fool me once, shame on me; fool me twice shame on you. I'm done fooling with these folks.

MY REVIEW: My first to visit MiMi's cafe and it was for a friend of mine celebrating her bday:). We went in the morning for breakfast. The decor is very neat but our service was not good at all:(. I will say that the waffles we ordered we SO GOOD and they serve HOT syrup!!!! The portions were so big we split the waffle breakfast. Over all I think it's worth going back just to eat the awesome belgin eagle plate:)!!!

MY REVIEW: My family & I have visited here a few times, but I really had to comment on this last visit. We have always wanted to order the homemade pot pie, but when we wanted one, they would have ran out. I see why now!! They are sooooo delicious!! The crust is very flaky & buttery, vegatables are tender & don't taste like the vegatables in a frozen pot pie.(I was expecting the veggies to be rubbery & bland...:)) The sauce in the pie was seasoned just right & not watery!! Will be ordering the pot pie again for sure!
The server was very attentive (forgot her name):( & the restaurant wasn't crowed when we were there on a sat evening. *Nice atmosphere*

MY REVIEW: They have a great breakfast menu. It is especially nice to sit on the patio. We've always had very friendly servers.

MY REVIEW: Awful. Don't bother unless you are really desperate for a bad dinner. My fried fish looked like it was straight out of the Van de Kamp box, the fries were short, cold, and hard. We ordered drinks at the same time as our meal, as we finished up our soup/salad I finally asked a manager if they were coming. Oops, we forgot, and the bartender is having some trouble because she is not sure how to make your rum and coke. The bread pudding desert was an insult to both bread and pudding. Like the fries, hard and cold, it was most like a slab of marble.
I could not wait to leave, but maybe it was just me. The big table next to us stayed and stayed and stayed - loud and with kids doing laps around their table and by ours every few moments. I won't be back.

MY REVIEW: Service was bad. They forgot our soup. Our waiter was busy flirting with ladies at the next table. We first went to the one in McAllen,Texas. The waiter there was awesome. Her name is Randie. And the manager at McAllen location was nice too. That's the reason we tried Pearland Mimi's. It was a major disappointment. Not going back there again.

MY REVIEW: I have been there about 3 times, the food is good but the service is not. The first time it was crowded so it was busy, understandable, but I liked the fact that they gave my two kids a platter with cherios and fruit and some bread for us. That help to calm them down till we got served (around 30 min afterwards).
Second time some friends wanted to eat there so we went....Again the service was not good, we were invisible eventhough we had a big table of 5 adults 2 kids. After 15 minutes they got us some bread (which was very good) and drinks. The third time we went, we never got the bread, and were waiting for 10 minutes to get our order. The food is great but the service could improve. I have never tried the breakfast, but it looks good too.
I will probably go again but going to wait few months, it will not be my first choice since everything else is open around there now.

MY REVIEW: MiMi's was notified a month ago, that we would have a group of 25 to 30 people there for dinner. Most of the group was there by 6:30 PM. We ended up with 28 people. ONE waiter, what? ONE waiter for 28 people. I asked where are the waiters. The ONE waiter said, this is it. ONE WAITER for 28 people. Three hours later we were on our way home. THREE hours. Well if you ask me this is the last time I will be going to MiMi's in Pearland. As for the food. Some people said their food was very good, while most of the group thought the food was OK, but not something you would comment about. Our group will not be going back to MiMi's in Pearland.

MY REVIEW: I visited Mimi's Cafe for lunch earlier this week and was very pleasantly surprised! I had expected it to be a relatively low-class joint, serving greasy spoon diner food. Instead what I encountered was a vibrant, nicely decorated restaurant with a bit of New Orleans flair and a very diverse menu -- including tasty-sounding light choices! I ordered the veggie burger and fruit for lunch and ended up enjoying one of the best veggie burgers I've ever had -- anywhere! The patty had a very nice appearance and texture, arriving steaming hot and glistening with a juicy and meaty center. It had a wonderful spicy flavor and was served on a delicious, toasted (or grilled) multi-grain bun with an ample serving of fresh fruit on the side. I topped it off with a small serving of Mimi's bread pudding, which was out of this world! My server was also very attentive and courteous, promptly refilling my glass with iced tea and checking in on me at appropriate intervals.
The only weak point I found was that the dining room was a little overcrowded with tables, chairs and booths. I had a newborn in a stroller and found it a bit difficult to navigate our relatively narrow stroller through the restaurant to the booth in the back of the restaurant at which the host had seated us (possibly because we had the stroller and they wanted it out of the way.) I was also a bit cramped at the booth with the stroller right next to me and the next table just ~2 feet away. A minor detail, though. I would still visit this restaurant again.

MY REVIEW: Tonight my boyfriend and I decided to try Mimi's Cafe. He was concerned about eating at the "Cafe" for dinner, but I convinced him. We were immediately seated in a comfortable booth and our waiter was with us within 30 seconds. We started with the fried pickles, expecting the usual 6 to 8 long fried pieces. The huge mountain of fried slices we got totally caught us off guard and we loved the coleslaw it was served with.
I ordered the beef tip sandwich with french onion soup instead of fries and he ordered the liver and onions with steamed broccoli and carrots and mashed potatoes and gravy. My soup came out very quickly and was delicious! By the time I finished the cup I could hardly eat anything else. I did try the sandwich and it was really yummy, but I was too full to eat much of it (so I'll have a yummy lunch tomorrow!). My boyfriend loved the liver and onions. The mashed potatoes had a good flavor, but neither of us cared too much for the gravy.
The service was really great, which I was concerned about given the last review. Our server was extremely attentive, and when my sandwich was delivered without the cheese and peppers I ordered, both the server and the manager came to the table and were very apologetic. I had to assure them both I was fine and they corrected the bill.
The ambiance was more comfortable than light cafe I was expecting, but I really enjoyed it. Pricing was what I expect for the area. We will definitely return in the future, but I think next time we will sit on the patio. I only wish the patio faced the shopping area of the Town Center so that one might be able to people watch as if in a classic cafe setting.

MY REVIEW: Went to one in Austin - wasn't impressed as the food was bland in my opinion. Wife loved it so we went to the one in Pearland. I ordered the "just enough" lunch serving of the salmon. Just enough? I could have eaten the thing in 2-3 bites. The salmon cut was no more than 4 inches by 1 by 1 inch. A small bit of mixed greens, 2 sliced strawberries, and an orange wedge for over $9. Sure the salmon was good, but this was no more than a small appetizer in terms of a meal. Strike two in my book for this chain.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I were shopping at the Pearland Town Square and decided to try Mimi's Cafe for lunch. We walked in and were seated immediately and were told our waiter would be right with us. Well.......we sat there for a good 15 minutes and no one even acknowledged that we were there. In fact I asked my husband if were invisible! Waiters would go to other tables and refill drinks and when finished would just walk right by our table as if we weren't even sitting there so we got up and left. That was the first and last visit to Mimi's Cafe!
