MY REVIEW: These are the best cupcakes in Houston. We've tried several other cupcake places hoping to get somehting as good, since Crave is not located anywhere near where we live. But Crave has spoiled us for all other cupcakes. Whenever we are in the neighborhood, or even somewhat close, we make it a point to stop and pick some up.
The cake is moist and delicious, never dry, and the frosting is never overpowering. We are particularly fond of the chocolate coconut, chocolate espresso, chocolate with creme, italian cream, german chocolate, and dark chocolate.
Yes, they are expensive, but no more so than other cupcake places. We have only been to the Kirby location, but have no reason to believe the Uptown location wouldn't be equal.

MY REVIEW: Had the Red Velvet. It was fantabolous!!! Both fantastic and fabolous. The cake was so moist and the frosting was not cloyingly sweet. Yummy. The price is the only thing that would keep me from overindulging So I'm not mad at the price point. I don't know why anyone would give this place a bad review.

MY REVIEW: The cupcakes were pretty, the decor was nice.
Basic flavors, nothing exciting or out of the box.
Friendly staff.
The cupcakes taste and texture...NOT good. We had red velvet, dark chocolate, and hummingbird. I will say the hummingbird was decent and I think they used fresh hummingbirds...
The red velvet and dark chocolate were both a huge disappointment. Maybe because I was expecting the cake to have flavor?? If it weren't for the icing, these cupcakes would have been inedible, and the icing wasn't that great.
The cake itself was reminiscent of a box mix gone bad. They were dry, crumbly, and I would swear they used sawdust as filler.
Only thing I craved after having these cupcakes was something to get the taste out of my mouth.

MY REVIEW: Very pretty cupcakes. But here is where looks are deceiving. I purchased chocolate and creme. dark chocolate, red velvet and vanilla on chocolate. First, thumbs up to the decor, very cool. Like I said cupcakes are very pretty. Now the low down. I have the BIGGEST sweet tooth in the world. The cake itself was very dry. The frosting was also on the dry side and not much flavor. The cake itself should be bigger to accommodate the large top. I am on a quest to find the perfect cupcake in Houston (I am a new resident) These were not them.

MY REVIEW: Yes it is a very nice and impreesive cupcake place but it is over price for a cupcake of 3.25 plus if you want an extra individual box additional 50 cents. That is way too much the cupxcake was so simple nothing extravagant on the icing. Way overpriced.......not going back here anymore.

MY REVIEW: This is the kind of place I love to support. Cupcakes have made such an impressive uprising over the past few years and this place really hits home with it! The marketing, let alone the taste, is amazing. They must make a fortune! There are numerous varieties of cupcakes, all of which are unique and, judging by the 6 or so flavors I've had already, probably taste great as well. I love this establishment, the minds who saw the idea of cupcakes being popular and capitalized on it by making a trendy, modern place to sell gourmet cupcakes truly knows business and marketing. BUT...if you are just coming for the cupcakes alone, you're heading in the right direction. These are excellent cupcakes and worth the price. I only get some every once in a while but goodness, it is a treat when I do. The frosting and cake textures are very good and the selections of cupcakes are well spread out giving you a fun experience of picking and choosing just which one you will try next. Highly recommended!

MY REVIEW: Some girlfriends & I decided to try Crave Cupcakes out for the first time yesterday. We were highly excited & interested to see what all the hype was about. Needless to say, though beautiful- upon cutting into and tasting the cupcake, the disappointment was apparent on all of our faces. I got the Peanut Butter and Chocolate cupcake which was extremely dry and dense. Had the cake been moist- I could have gotten over, and maybe even liked the denseness. Forever the optimists, we have decided that we will give Crave a second chance because surely this many people in Houston can't be wrong about how good they are. We will try a different flavor & hope for the best. They only get one more chance though to have me spend that much money on an expensive designer cupcake....After that- I will be back at the D.G....

MY REVIEW: I agree the cupcakes are good. However, each cupcake costs about $3.50. This has got to be the most expensive cupcake you'll ever eat. If you buy one, make sure you eat the crumbs :)

MY REVIEW: I heard about crave from a friend so i decided to try it out, i am so glad i did. The cupcakes are AMAZING!
My favorites in order are strawberry, banana, then lemon.
I would highly recommend, only downside is that i am now addicted so my hopes of losing weight are probably dashed.

MY REVIEW: The cupcake is good and the icing is exceptional. My favorite is strawberry and lemon. Other flavors are too sweet for me. We love the decor and the employees there are very friendly and helpful. Try the pecan coffee with your cupcake next time. It's a perfect match!

MY REVIEW: They are expensive but really good. I think you have to charge that much to stay in business. Anyway it’s just a fun place to visit and treat yourself to a much deserved cupcake. So far mine have all been moist and fresh and yummy. The help/customer service has improved greatly since my first visit when they were newly opened. My favorites are White Chocolate Macadamia, Pumpkin and Banana. Second place is Coconut and Vanilla. I don’t care for their Candy Bar or Peanut Butter Chocolate.

MY REVIEW: I've enjoyed trying these new "gourmet" cupcakeries. This is now my number 1 out of the 4 that I have tried across the country. These cupcakes are certainly worth it. I have had the vanilla with vanilla frosting and sprinkles, the strawberry, chocolate cake with vanilla frosting and coconut and the white chocolate macadamia nut. They are all exceptional. The cake is dense and moist and the icing is sweet without being overly sweet. I have raved about this place to anyone I know that loves cupcakes. The folks at the counter are always friendly and efficient. The store is bright and clean. Get there early in the day for the best selection.

MY REVIEW: Cupcake is good but the price is pretty expensive for a small cupcake. Service is o.k. but helper did not help customers in an orderly manner. The place is nice, bright and clean.

MY REVIEW: I dont understand how people can say these cupcakes are dry. These are the most delicious cupcakes. They put the other cupcake places in Houston to shame! Seriously. They are huge & moist & the icing is just thick enough & sweet! I have tried the vanilla, dark chocolate, coconut & strawaberry-so far my favorite is coconut! I love all the shredded coconut on top! I cant wait to try the pumpkin. The place is always busy, but most of the counter help are very nice & helpful. I say try Crave!! You wont be disappointed!
