Jack's Garage Bar & Grill (CLOSED)   100 Perkins Ave League City TX MY REVIEW: Well, It looks like Jack's is closed. I went by the other day to get a drink and it looks vacant. NAME: Markrich0726 SUBMITTED: 8/10/2008   LAST VISIT WAS: 4/19/2008 FREQUENCY: Visited 2-3 times MY REVIEW: The restraunt has a great theme, and plenty of space to accomidate all of your friends at the bar. The burgers are excellent and my wife swears by the Nitro Nacho's. There is a diffrent drink special every day, that are so unheard of, I can't understand why the bar is not packed "bell to bell" seven days a week. The daytime bartender, (TARA?) not only knows her stuff, but is highly entertaining. We will definatley be back! NAME: Rodger Dodger SUBMITTED: 6/10/2008   LAST VISIT WAS: june/2008 FREQUENCY: Visited 4-6 times MY REVIEW: My wife and I had lunch at Jack's today, arriving after the lunch hour at about 1:30PM. We had sandwiches from the lunch menu which also specified one side to accompany our each order. We chose the salad from the list of sides. The food was good and the portions were large. When the check arrived, we found that we had been charged for the salads although the lunch menu made no mention of the salads from the list of sides incurring an extra charge. When I inquired about the extra charge, our waitress informed us that the salads were extra although they were listed among the sides. After checking with the manager, she came back and informed us that they did agree that the menu was misleading and that they would change it to indicate the real situation. It was as though their acknowledgement should have been sufficient to rectify the situation and that we should be happy for that. We paid the accelerated price and consequently received no side included with our sandwich price. Needless to say, it will be a while before we return to Jack's. NAME: Foodie$ever SUBMITTED: 4/30/2008   LAST VISIT WAS: 4-30-08 FREQUENCY: Visited 2-3 times MY REVIEW: I went to Jack's on a Saturday evening after the local car cruise. I thought that the decor was very simple but it fits the look that Jack was trying to achieve. The food was o.k. I had the chicken fried steak with fries and a house salad. The portions that they gaive are very large so if you leave hungry it is your fault. The wait staff was very good. We actualy had several of the wait staff constantly check on us. It has a full bar and it will be a great hangout for the future with the outside dining that they offer. The wait staff was excellent, we constantly had three different waitresses that waited on us and gave us an excellent first impression. The food was o.k. just a little below the popular chain restaurant food. I had the chicken fried steak and it was pretty good. You could tell that it was not hand breaded but they give you two of them and the portion size was great. I will definately be back to try one of their burgers.
