Tokyo Steak & Sushi

MY REVIEW: This restaurant has been a favorite for years. My family and I love this place. It's just a couple minutes away from the house so it's awfully convenient. The waitstaff is great. I think it's a family business since the waitstaff is usually the same. But that's what makes the atmosphere cozy and very comfortable. The hibachi is amazing. It's always refreshing and we'd have the best time every time even though the show routine stays pretty much the same. For a while, I actually came here 1-2 times per week! I love how I once I gave them a suggestion to put a TV on the sushi bar and a month after, BAM! There was a TV! Too bad they don't have ESPN with their package. Whatever, I enjoy dinning out at this restaurant not because of the TV channels they have to offer. I do enough of that at home.

I enjoy it and will keep coming back because the food is exceptional (give the hibachi a try and you can also get sushi at the same time), waitstaff is great and the prices are very very fair.

MY REVIEW: I was taking out a potential new employee for dinner. He suggested sushi, so we picked this place. He had lived in California and is a self-proclaimed sushi snob and said the sushi was awesome. I agree, the sushi was incredible. Everything was very fresh and tasty. The sushi chef (I don't know if that is the correct title) came over and spoke with us. The presentation was lacking, but I am there for the food, not a pretty plate. The service was a little slow, but I was not in a hurry, so not a problem. I plan on making this a monthly or not more stop.

MY REVIEW: I have tried to leave reviews of this place twice, and they never seem to show up. This place is TERRIBLE. I ordered something to go from there twice, because it's convenient, as my office is right next to it. The first time, their credit card machine was down, I waited there until they could locate their old school CC copier. My sashimi was warm, as they placed it on a bed of HOT rice. I decided to give them another shot, and ordered the same dish. I called in my order, they told me 20 minutes (which seems like a long time, considering there was NOBODY in the restaurant when i arrived). I gave them 30 minutes, showed up, and they hadn't even STARTED preparing it. I waited another 10-15 minutes while they did. And to top it off, they didn't offer an apology for the wait, or ANYTHING. I saw the sushi chef get onto the girl who took the order, but they never apologized to me. Terrible customer service, and substandard sushi. Their hibachi is fine, but avoid the sushi. There are MUCH better sushi restaurants in town. I work right next door, and I still order my sushi from a place 10 minutes away and drive over there to pick it up.

MY REVIEW: Food was good....not a very fun atmosphere...we went for the hibachi but got sat in the front by the bar. It was a Tuesday evening. (not many people were dining)...waiter was nice, but we felt like we would have enjoyed our dinner if we would have been around the hibachi.

MY REVIEW: We think that this place has the freshest sashimi and sushi in Katy. We get it to go once a week. Also, the hibachi is alot of fun. We often meet up with other families with children and all have fun while they prepare the food in front of us. Good entertainment, good food, good prices.

MY REVIEW: Amazing food! Upsacle Hibachi at a great price! Check out their menu online. Lunch specials are Fabulous. The food was AMAZING. I am a huge fan of Japanese food and have tried so many places in Katy, this place by far is a hidden treasure. It is in the Villagio section of Cinco Ranch Across is the YMCA. You guys will LOVE this place.

MY REVIEW: The various don-bowls (beef, chicken, unagi, etc) available during lunch hours are exceptional. These are classic homecooked japanese rice bowls topped with meat/seafood, rice noodles, mushrooms, egg white/whole egg, and lots of flavor. For dinner, I particularly enjoyed the cucumber-wrapped salmon sushi.

MY REVIEW: Our family loves hibachi cooking and always look for it...we no longer have to try anywhere else! Tokyo Steak & Sushi is delicious and fast became our favorite hibachi restaurant so far (and we have been eating at them for 20 years!) The portions are generous and the sauces are so good, you could almost drink them! The fried rice IS the best I have ever tasted by far...everything is seasoned just right and the staff is very friendly. This is the perfect place to go for something special...or just because! The sushi is fresh and is made just how YOU want it...delicious!

MY REVIEW: I tried the avocado wraps.....need more avocado's in them.....hibachi is great food.....but.....I wish they would try to have an empty seat between parties....it is hard to go out for a relaxing dinner and the family next to you spends the entire time complaining.

MY REVIEW: We stopped there to try it and it was excellent. Had Sushi and it was prepared and presented well and tasted delicious. We also tried their hibachi dinner and was not disappointed, had filet, chicken and lobster all were prepared well and tasted better, I suggest you give it a try.

MY REVIEW: Took wife and one child they are just opening, don't have their liquor license yet. Fried rice was the best in Katy we thought. Sauces we didn't care for at all. Hibachi chicken very good. $5 shared entree charge isn't going to win any fans, neither is the no kids menu, wow. Salad small and just ok. Everyone is apparently trying to replicate Beni****'s success in Japanese steak and sushi.

Overall not bad, but A*ami is still the king of hibachi in Katy and yes we have tried them all.
