Waldo's Coffee House

MY REVIEW: I go to Waldo's regularly to study. There are different rooms, some of which are better suited for conversation than reading, but I've never had an issue with lighting. In the evening, things are a bit darker, but the noise level is also higher, as there are musicians and movies many evenings. And that's not the ideal environment for studying. But if it's daytime and you want a place for quiet studying with a cup of coffee, maybe a snack, Waldo's is definitely the place to go in the Heights.

MY REVIEW: This place is great! The Workers are all very friendly, and very knowledgeable. They often know my name/ what I am going to get. Always up to offer a suggestion if you're not quite sure what to get. The espresso is delicious, and probably one of the smoothest I've ever had! The coffee changes every week or so too, so there's always something new and tasty. They get their beans from K*atz Coffee, which is a local roaster right here in Houston. I can't say enough good things about Waldo's. Support local coffee shops and roasters. Support Waldo's!

MY REVIEW: This place would be cool to study at if there were better lighting. It is dark and it is difficult to read inside. This is a cool place to hang out, but don't go there to do any studying.

MY REVIEW: the coffee is really good and the desserts that i've had (muffin, cake, brownie) have all been great. decaf specialty drinks are good too. the prices are very reasonable. one time we came in and got a kid's milk, a bottle of juice, large specialty coffee drink, a muffin, and a huge piece of cake for something like $11. they have live music w/ BYOB every weekend. staff is always friendly.

MY REVIEW: Great Coffee. Live music every Saturday starting at 7:30 pm 'till 10:00pm with BYOB. Right now they only have sweets as far as food goes, but those are tasty also. It's a very friendly, family owned establishment and they provide free WIFI. The hours are 7:00am - 10:00pm on weekdays and 8:00am-10:00pm on Saturday and 8:00am-6:00pm on Sundays.
