Antidote Coffee
729 Studewood St, Houston, Texas 77007
MY REVIEW: Antidote Coffee is a great coffee shop in the Heights. The coffee is good & the staff is friendly. They also have vegan food that I can grab on the way to work. Radical Eats has items like, vegan tamales, noodle bowls & butternut squash lasagna. Its nice to have a vegan option that is so easy to access...

MY REVIEW: Antidoate is my favorite coffee shop in Houston. Firstly, the coffee is very good and it's priced better than S*tarbucks. Secondly, the staff is consistently and genuinely friendly. Finally, it's a cool, unpretentious place to hang out. It's not fussy, yet all the details for a great experience are there! How do they do it?!

MY REVIEW: The Cajeta latte is great, as is the selection of beers and teas. They sometimes run low on food towards the evening, but the cakes are quite delicious. The sandwiches are okay, cheaper and tastier to just make them at home or splurge on a scone.
Seating can get tight but the eclectic decor inside is really adorable. Never had any problems with the Wifi or finding plugs. Parking sucks, but there is street parking very close. Free ice water which is a nice touch while drinking a hot latte. I highly recommend for a great place to drink a good latte, especially once it cools off and you can enjoy the really nice side patio!

MY REVIEW: Generally, I am a fan of Antidote. It's my neighborhood coffee shop, and I love the Antidote. They have a good selection of coffee, the place is cozy and quiet, and they have some delicious (and unique) pastries.
The one thing that I have to point out about Antidote is that the quality of the coffee is not consistent. I believe it has a lot to do with whoever makes the coffee. There's one person in particular who flat just doesn't know how to make a decent cup of coffee. It bums me out every time I see her behind the counter. I still love this place. It is reminiscent of a cool little coffee shop in Seattle.

MY REVIEW: Best coffee in town, which I don't think says much, but it really is good coffee.
It has finally gotten me away from 4bucks. Houston needs more places like this.
Where are these pretentious coffee shops other reviewers talk about?

MY REVIEW: The cajeta latte was very tasty and my boyfriend enjoyed the espresso. We didn't enjoy the cheese plate at all (though this may just be our taste). We were not overly impressed with the ambiance of the small shop, though it was comfortable. The place is hard to find since there is nothing but a blue "A" above the store, hardly visible.
Overall this place is ok.

MY REVIEW: Relaxed, bohemian environment with friendly, knowledgeable staff. They have a wide selection of well made coffees, teas (especially great on the teas), beer and wine. Plus a lot of it is fair/free trade, organic stuff. Perfect for the socially aware. Plus they have board games you can play, including scrabble. Everything about this place screams hang out here!
The greatest thing is that I feel like I can go there in jeans or shorts and chat or just be without feeling like people are looking at you and trying to judge your net worth, a big plus in an area of town that has a lot of "edgier", more pretentious places. Highly recommended.

MY REVIEW: Strong points: Awesome wireless connection, good strong coffee, relaxed atmosphere, tasty snacks and lots of cute girls stopping by
Weak Points: Parking gets full quickly, the low lighting is a little too dark at night
Overall, a great place for us laptop warriors to come to. IF you like tea then you'll love the way they serve tea. Very personal and unique for a public establishment.

MY REVIEW: Really tasty organic coffees and teas, other pluses are great variety of beers/wine and an excellent basil goat cheese spread (there are other spreads too but i am a bit biased). The outdoor patio is a nice place to invite a group out or take the dog out for some coffee/tea. Front spot parking can be a bit hard to get but there is a bunch of street parking and side parking available. Great place to dwindle away any morning, afternoon,or evening....

MY REVIEW: Terrific lattes and atmosphere.
Great place to spend a Sunday afternoon drinking champagne ($16/bottle) and sharing an amazing flourless chocolate cake.
I love this place and the outdoor patio would be great for happy hours or birthday parties.
