Their service was excellent and their food was phenomenal, I'm really happy about this and darband is the place to be for a nice patio and an exotic hooka. Keep up the good job, we'll visit again! We stood at the door for almost 20min before I had enough and went and spoke to one of the waiter and to my surprise there were several tables available. Again we sat and waited for another 20 mins before the waiter brought us the menu. Food was ok but way over priced and the waiters were not at all interested in serving. Food is over priced, waiters are inexperienced and had we found ourselves explaining menu items to them. It's too big, no atmosphere. The manager was busy laughing with his gf at the bar, and only ventured over to say goodbye as we were leaving, and hoped we'd be back. For mediocre over-priced food in a restaurant with no atmosphere and poor service..? Er... no. The waiters are rude, do not know what they are doing, and do not really seem to know what is going on with the place. We tried to go one night at 10:15 pm, when they say they are open until 2am on the internet, and they were closed. No number, no hours. It must be a new place. Our family went back for dinner another night to eat and service was just horrible. Takes them forever to bring you anything hookuh, a drink, or food. I will probably return only because the food was good and I am assuming it is a new establishment. There is a very nice ambiance about this place. I go here for the drinks every single Sunday night. The bartender here Theresa is very knowledgeable about drinks and whips up a damn good pina colada. Food is also very good though a bit pricey. Music is good and they have a very nice and big patio for all you smokers. It would be great to bring in a live band on the weekends playing iranian music etc. Once again, nice place and definitely a HOT SPOT for those first dates. MY REVIEW: Nice location and setting though, perhaps because they just opened, food not up to par at this time: the rice, a point of pride with all Iranian cooks, was underdone; the lamb kabab was overcooked and tough and dry; the chicken kabab was moist and tender though overly salty. The portions were okay for us though we did hear from others that they were too small given the price. The young staff seemed a bit inexperienced and not very familiar with the food. We plan to visit again, hoping that they have gotten the kinks out.
