MY REVIEW: This place is great. I found it and tried it from these reviews. Good food and really fast if you need it to go. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I really like the Panang Chicken. The Cheese rolls are a great appetizer and the sweet rice with egg custard is out of this world good! Don't let the outside fool you, there is really something special here.

MY REVIEW: I love this little place. It has terrific food and an attentive staff. I haven't ever had a bad experience here. I know they do a huge take-out business but if you get a chance, dine in. It's great to discuss the Thai dishes and they can modify at your request the menu items -- spicier, etc. I go back week after week for the great food and reasonable prices. There is always seating and parking, which is rare for a Houston restaurant that is this great.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I returned to Houston this past weekend and Thai Lanna was our first stop! We had been looking forward to returning since our last visit. It was as good this time as it was the first! We tried the dumplings that our server suggested and the "cheese rolls" as well! Both were excellent choices. We couldn't pass up the Cashew Ginger Chicken that we'd had the last time and also tried the Panang Chicken! This stuff is addicting! I have to tell you, since they were closed Sunday we ate at 2 other restaurants the next day. Though they were both very nice appearance wise- we left wishing Thai Lanna was open!

MY REVIEW: My hubby and I drove into Houston New Year's Eve. We were hungry and looked through the GPS zagat rated restaurants on the drive. Most of what we found was pricey. We left my daughter's which is right around the corner from Thai Lanna and saw the Thai food sign. In our opinion, Thai cuisine is definitely one of the, if not the best food you can eat! So fresh, flavorful and exciting.

I'm not gonna lie, it was New Year's Eve, and I had in my mind a fun, happening place to go for dinner. But we were hungry, and it was close. I also usaully judge a place by how many patrons are there. The outside of the building is kind of run down looking and there was only one table of customers. I was leary, but my husband's judgement prevailed.

As soon as we walked in, the smell was incredible! We ordered Phad Thai chicken and Roasted ginger and cashews with chicken. OMG! I've been to several Thai restaurants and spent 2 weeks in Thailand and this was some of the best, most authentic food I've eaten! Fast, freindly service, very reasonable prices! We will be back!

MY REVIEW: It was good, hot and fast! But I have had better that didn't cause a massive headache afterwards. The menu lists items coming with lime wedges, beds of ____ and such, but my items didn't have any fufu! None needed just a note! And the Gai Kau listed tomato, egg and chicken... there was nasty celery and green onion, so the task of picking that out is never fun, but flavor was good not great like Thai C*ottage.

MY REVIEW: Had not been here in awhile but I am glad I returned. The spring rolls were fresh and delicious .. the cheese sticks appetizers quite yummy. I have had nearly everything on the menu in the past but this last visit I had the Beef Salad which was packed with veggies, spinach, and beef. Also the Tiger Cries are always good.

MY REVIEW: I was not expecting much but a friend of mine and I wanted Thai food. The goal was it needed to be close to home. We read the reviews posted here and I think most people under stated their results. I ordered the ginger pork extra spicy and my friend order the basil chicken extra spicy. Both items were extremely flavorful. I definately will be back and since it is a BYOB, I'll be bringing some wine.

Don't let the outside of this resturant scare you like it did us. We almost pulled away. We both were glad we stayed. It has a comfortable neighborhood atmosphere.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I decided to try Thai Lanna, as we pass by it regularly, exiting the 610 Loop on to T.C. Jester. We highly recommend the restaurant. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant, and by the friendliness of the owner. This was our first visit, but it will by no means be our last. I had the green curry dish, with vegetables, rice and tofu. My wife had a crunchy tofu dish with vegetables. Excellent!

We are lovers of Asian cuisine, and we have tried many Asian restaurants in Houston. We truly consider Thai Lanna to be among the top ones we have been to. A plus: The "BYOB" policy of the restaurant allows you to bring in your own wine or beer, allowing you to have a very affordable dining experience.

MY REVIEW: Could not resist repeating the cashew ginger shrimp and it was as delicious as before! We also tried the green curry chicken. The flavors were very aromatic and peppery...fantastic. We ordered two desserts and truly enjoyed both the fried banana ice cream and the mango with sweetrice. The portions were quite generous so we took home leftovers for a midnight snack.

Our waiter, Wes, told us they've had new customers from Katy and Sealy come in for orders to go. The fantastic and fresh food is well worth the drive. Do not let the stip center location fool you. Pim has a lovely little spot. Give it a try!

MY REVIEW: This is our favorite Thai food in Houston. Pim, the owner, is an outstanding hostess and cook. We have lived in Thailand for 4 years and are so happy to have found a place that prepares authentic "Thai Style" food. The other restaurants we have tried were "Americanized" versions of the real thing! For one of our favorites, try "Pak a Pow" Thai style with a fried egg on top. It's the best! A great place for a quiet conversation or fun party. We've taken large groups and everyone left stuffed and wanting to come back! Tell Pim that Phillip and Tamara sent you and she'll know just what you want to order!

MY REVIEW: This should be considered a gem for the residents of the Heights. It's on the northbound feeder of Loop 610 between Hempstead Highway and 18th street. It's by the What*burg*r. The minute I walked in I sensed that I would like the place.

We had Siamese egg rolls and the Fish cakes as appetizers. She had ginger cashew shrimp and I had peanut chicken. Both were excellent. The shrimp was an amazing mix of hot and sweet. I think Thai Lanna deserves a blue ribbon. I wish MZ was still around to give them one! I live nearby so I will be back to try other items on the menu.

MY REVIEW: Everything is fresh, and well prepared. I especially like the Fried Fish Salad, and Yum Apple Salad. The Duck Curry is always fantastic, when available. Save room for dessert! Mango with sticky rice or sticky rice with home made custard are wonderful. Chef Pim and waitstaff are very helpful and friendly.

MY REVIEW: Casual environment, delicious Thai food, I have not had a bad meal there & I've tried about 1/2 the menu, working on the 2nd 1/2! The hot basil dishes are my favorite. Had a bite of my companion's pad thai & it was delicious as well. Plus you gotta love a byob place. Try it, I don't think you will be disappointed.

MY REVIEW: Wow! Great food and clean, comfortable atmosphere- I really like the new reincarnation of this place as Thai Lanna. The shrimp pad thai is very fresh and fabulous, as are the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce- given time, I will be trying many other things on the menu. The fish sauce offered here is outstanding- the most unusual and best I have ever had.

MY REVIEW: Awesome Thai. Pim the owner and Chef is a delight. Her Curry is to die for. You can make it a quick lunch or linger as long as you like. I am certain you will not be disapointed.

We eat there at least twice a week for lunch. Go and give it a try.
