MY REVIEW: I came for lunch on a Sunday and 'YUM'. For $17, we were stuffed with fresh sushi, sashimi, noodles, chilled shrimp, and a variety of typical asian buffet fare. We had great service and even green tea ice cream after our meal (incl in buffet price). It's a BUFFET. No frills. No, they didn't have the best designer rolls in town. If I wanted those, I'd have dined elsewhere and paid $13-$17 a roll. Bottom line, if you want a good value for a buffet, this is the place.

MY REVIEW: DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! IT'S HORRIFIC!! The food quality of this place goes down along with their service more and more each day. The food is stale and not fresh as it used to be, and the selection keeps getting small and smaller. Now, to the point where the owner (the little short Chinese lady) stares at your plate to see how much food you have on your plate and she will monitor to make sure you lick that plate or else she will approach you and embarrass you in front of everyone for not finishing that plate. PLEASE SAVE YOUR APPETITE AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! I'd recommend K*irin II for all the seafood and sushi lovers out there, which is one more Exit down from the Freeway. K*irin II has a lot more selection and the sushi there is exceptional.

MY REVIEW: Just left Tokyo One. The food was not as "fresh" as before. The sashimi selection has narrowed down to salmon and tuna. The slices are considerably smaller. The raw oysters are room temperature, when they should be cold. The sushi is heavily coated with rice. The warm dungeoness crab and cold crad legs are still there.

Service remains on a level frequently attributed to Chinese restaurant, namely it lacks finesse and attention. Our soiled plated remained on the edge of our table for almost 10 minutes until a young Hispanic busboy cleared them. If you MUST dine here, ask for Sean. His English is more easily understood than his colleagues. He also tends to be more attentive to diner's needs than his colleagues. If Sean is not available, then I would specifically request for the lone waitress. She, at least, gave this writer a glass of cold water upon request.

I may return, not any time soon though.

MY REVIEW: I'll take this Japanese buffet over any Chinese buffet I've ever been to. It's more expensive than those Chinese buffets, but worth it. Shrimp, veggies and fish cooked tempura style are outstanding here. Scallops on skewers and oyster rolls are so good. Kimchi is as good as Mia's homemade at K*orean BBQ in Webster. Very surprised to get cream brulee on the desert buffet.

Service was very attentive, but wish they offered filtered water. You know the food is good when the only thing you can gripe about is the tap water.

MY REVIEW: We go to this restaurant for great food and celebrations. Hubby likes sashimi and I like the vegetables and other seafood on the buffet. The chocolate brownies and the cakes are lucious. The green tea and the pom ice cream are the best I have tasted.

MY REVIEW: I love this place. This place has a great selection of food! You get what you paid for.

This place has noodles, soups, hot pot, sushi, everything! They have a variety of desserts, better selection than other buffets.

The downsides are that they don't have any locations near where I live (kingwood), and that the hot pot lacks flavor.

MY REVIEW: LOVE IT! One of my all-time favorites. Large selection of cold & hot buffets, plus all you can eat sushi. I'm in heaven! Excellent service, (if not a bit overdone sometimes).

MY REVIEW: I've been here twice and both times I loved it! The food (dinner) was excellent! I like that it also has a hibachi grill for those non-sushi lovers like my husband so now we're both able to go to a sushi restaurant together and enjoy the foods we like. The only downfall is the lack of selection of dessert.

I'd much prefer more fruits and maybe a chocalate fountain too! But overall, the food was great and the price is awesome!

MY REVIEW: We regularly dine at the other location and really enjoy it, but the new location on Greens Rd. is wonderful.

We liked that this location is newer and more space to move around. The food was excellent and worth the trip from The Woodlands.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I love.. and I mean LOVE.. sushi, but as students is hard to go to the really up-scale places, so we usually go to t*odai or K*irin II (it's a bit cheaper). A classmate told me about Tokyo one and we decided to go, but when I read the reviews I was a bit worried, but we decided to go anyways.

I am not good at names, but I surely know good sushi/japanese food so here are my/my husband comments:

1. Sushi: overal OK, but the salmon sashimi was awesome, literally it melted like butter.

2. Crabs!!! OMG I come from a country were we export kingcrab, and I'll tell you I have never eaten crab in a restaurant in the US because they taste weird..but this time I probably ate a good 2 pounds of them (king crab, the blue crab was not that great)

3. soups: I thought the miso soup was good, but my husband loved it. They also have 3 other type of soups, the udon soup was just OK, not so flavorful.

4. Cold dishes: interesting new dishes, like the jelly fish salad..which was suprisingly very tasty.

5.Hot dishes: not much variety, but the tempura was very good, and the lamb chops had a charcoil grill flavor. My husband eats the meat dishes, and he loved it. (although if you want to eat meat, you are better off at T*odai or at F*ogo di Chao for that matter)

6. Dessert: the creme brulee is far better than the one in T*odai, and the icecream was pretty good. Now, the mango icream was something else.

Overall, I'd say that for $59+tip we had a pretty good dinner, had a blast cracking those crabs, and drinking hot tea. Last time we went to t*odai the bill was $80.. so for a buffet (specially if you come for the sushi and seafood) is a great deal. The atmosfere was really cozy, and the personnel was nice and polite. Good experience overall.

MY REVIEW: Loved this food. It was the best I ever had. Also the most I ever paid for a asian buffet. I heard they went up even more on the price. However that will not stop me from going back. I plan on going for lunch instead. I am taking my family out to eat for my daughters birthday this week. Reading these reviews is making me hungry.

MY REVIEW: Just were hungry and decided to try it out. Comfortable layout -- cabinlike. Next to a Marriot Residence Inn. For a buffet, the service was great -- constantly filling our water glasses and clearing our dirty plates. My companion thought the sushi spread was delicious and above buffet quality. I liked the tako salad and the sashimi (buttery salmon). The shrimp and oyster tempura were great. Also had king crab! Definitely recommend.

MY REVIEW: One word... WOW. When I saw that this place was a buffet, I didn't expect much. But the food is amazing, and so is the service. There is a huge selection, and everything is so FRESH. We were also waited on hand and foot. I usually go to K*irin when I want a good buffet, but that place is a bit overpriced. This place is much better, and it costs less. Yay!

MY REVIEW: The Good News: Best salmon ever! It positively melts when you eat it.

The Bad News: Everything else is average at best. The rest of the buffet(I went for lunch) is pretty standard. I do appreciate the fact that there is a pot of teriyaki sauce on the side in case the meat didn't have enough(or any) on it. However, nothing really stood out. Everything that was there could be eaten at any other Sushi buffet in Houston.

If you're looking for something new and different, this is not the place. If you're looking for a sushi buffet on the Southwest side because K1 and K2 are long gone, then go for it. Otherwise, stick to wherever you were going in the first place.

MY REVIEW: This was my first time to each lunch. We were very happy with the food selection and the service was great! For $12.99 we felt that it was a great deal. Will definately be back for more!
