Country Time BBQ & Fixins

MY REVIEW: The place certainly looks like a BBQ joint so I had high hopes. The restaurant resembles a slightly upscale shack with picnic tables indoors and out. I ordered the sandwich combo, which consisted of sandwich with your choice of meat, (which in my case was brisket) chips and a drink. The meat on the sandwich was reasonably generous and moist, with a barely a hint of smokiness. I would have prefered a bolder smokey flavor. I don't recall seeing a smoke ring. The sauce seemed to be the standard off the shelf stuff I use at home. Overall the meal was okay and I may stop in for another try, but I'm still looking for better barbeque.

MY REVIEW: I'm very, very picky when it comes to BBQ and Country Time is excellent. This, P*itMaster & Z*ion Baptist Church up in Huntsville are the best BBQ in the Houston area. I've been to R*udy's and it's hit and miss. What makes this one so good is that the ribs taste great w/o any BBQ sauce, soft and juicy!! The chicken is smoked perfectly w/o being dry (one of the toughest things to do). Very tasty and highly recommended.

MY REVIEW: One of the best BBQ places around. Great links and brisket sanwiches. The only thing lacking is a side of fries instead of a bag of chips. I would recommend Pit Master as a complete meal but if you are just looking for a great sanwich give them a try.
