MY REVIEW: We tried this place because we had a Groupon for it, and we're so glad we did. The tortas are great! Big pillowy delicious bread served warm with a variety of fresh fillings. We had one with fajita meat in it, and another that was called a Mexican hamburger. Both were topped with fresh avocado, slices of onion, tomato, lettuce and a delicious little spicy mayo type sauce. I'd also recommend the aguas frescas to drink - we had the pina (pineapple) flavor, and it was flavorful and refreshing, also had a real Mexican coke made with sugar rather than corn syrup like in the U.S. version.

Service was friendly. They don't speak much English, but that just lends to the authenticity of the experience. They surprised us by bringing out a basket of chips and delicious green sauce to go with it. The location is in a little strip center and not much to look at from the outside, but the inside is very clean and comfortable. They had a t.v. which was showing sports, so my husband enjoyed that. Overall, a very pleasant experience, and we'll be back.

MY REVIEW: Strong points: Good bread, green sauce, very friendly service, good construction of the torta.

Weak points: A little expensive for tortas (not outrageous), I tried the Texana and the Cubana and they were just ok, not worth going out of the way for.

Take home: Worth a try, but go for the more 'authentic' stuff.

MY REVIEW: The tortas here are great! The bread is soft and fresh and the meat to bread ratio is perfect! I love the chipotle mayo it adds a nice kick to the sandwhich. My fave torta has to be the Cubana the avocado and fresh white cheese are delicious. The place is never very full but the waitstaff is attentive and service is prompt. Skip the fries as they are the frozen variety and go with a bag of chips...splurge on a Mexican Coke or Tepache instead!

MY REVIEW: This isn't your typical "Mexican" food restaurant (i.e. its not Tex-Mex). Once you get over that and the fact that its somewhat difficult to order if you don't speak Spanish (I only speak enough to navigate a menu), you are in store for some GREAT Mexico City style tortas. The talera bread was great and seem to be baked either on site or at a nearby bakery, as they were pillowy soft and fresh. The hamburger torta is great, as is the "al la mexicana" which is served with eggs, jalapenos, lettuce, etc. Great place.
