MY REVIEW: My 2nd purchase from here, always to go, and my family is very happy with the food and the portions. On the first visit we tried the basic items, eggrolls, fried rice, and lo mein, they were very good. Went back for the same items but added the Special Wonton soup ( it was packed in 2 containers, enough for 4 people ), and the sesame chicken ( enough for 4 people ), this is now our only Chinese restaurant, the best in the area. Prices are not cheap, but neither are they expensive and the quality and quantity are worth every penny.

MY REVIEW

Strong Points: Food was fresh and tender and cooked just right and service was very fast, very clean restaurant.

Weak Point:I had the beef with snow peas and it simply was too salty. I would not drive out of my way to return as this was my first visit.

MY REVIEW: This is an excellent little restaurant. Food always frest, hot, and tasty. We have never had a bad meal here. Busy at lunch and dinner but the same two or three ladies are very efficient. No unreasonable waits.

MY REVIEW: This is some of the best Chinese food that I have ever eaten in my life. Definitely one of the little gems that people don't know about. Ive asked them several times to make things for me that aren't on the menu, and they do it to perfection! I can't say enough good things about this place. And the hot and sour soup is to die for!

MY REVIEW: Excellent restaurant, with a neighborhood feel. The food is fresh and delicious, freshly made and not sitting out for a few hours. The staff is efficient and nice to customers. Overall a very good deal on take out or dine-in.

MY REVIEW: This place is AWESOME!!! I ordered the pork moo shu and it was fantastic. Unlike other moo shu I've had the pork was generous and the vegetables were perfect. My husband had the general tso's chicken. His only complaint was that the chicken pieces were too big (he was joking). The hot and sour soup was one of the best I've ever had and it comes with fried wonton strips, automatic brownie points! We are getting dinner from here again tonight and the only problem is I cannot decide what I want!

MY REVIEW: Ever since it opened over 2 years ago, we have enjoyed this place. When when w moved further away, we made the extra drive to go pick it up vs going to the one down the road. My husband loves the wonton soup, and he always asks for extra wonton and they always say just for you!! I have even seen the owner run across the street to give someone something they forgot at the Blockbuster!! Everybody is so nice!! If you want good chinese food, go there!!

MY REVIEW: I've passed this place dozens of times to eat at the Mexican restaurant down the street...reluctantly. I've had so many bad meals at little Chinese joints. A friend told me about it...said it's the best she's ever had. With such a strong recommendation, I took the family. WOW! The food is very fresh and served steaming hot. The hot & sour soup is awesome. My favorite dish is General Tso's...Mmmmm! The meat they use is good quality, not the scraps that most Chinese places use. The chicken is breast meat only. I've experimented with several different meals, and am thrilled every time. This is definitely a diamond in the rough. Try it, and I guarantee you'll not be able to stay away.

MY REVIEW: This restaurant is FABULOUS! I have worked just a few doors down in the plaza for over a year but was always leary of eating there because the building looks a little run down. I finally decided to give it a try and I am kicking myself for not trying it sooner! The food is so good. It is cooked fresh to order and is full of flavor. Let me just say, the eggrolls are to die for. I usually opt for spring rolls because I like a little more veggie in my roll than traditional eggrolls offer but these are PERFECT! I am usually very selective with Chinese food because most places around here are not very good (aside from G*olden Jade). If you live in this area and are skeptical about trying Hoi Yin, don't be. I will definitely go back again and again!

MY REVIEW: This is my family's favorite chinese restaurant. The food here is amazingly fresh and high quality. It is a little mom & pop restaurant; very clean, very good.

This is a weekly meal for us.

MY REVIEW: Our family favorite is the slightly spicy Mandarin chicken. It is a variation of the sweet and sour chicken, but better. They use white meat, lightly breaded and fried and topped with this special tangy brown sauce with a slightly spicy twist. If you are ordering out, don't let them mix the meat and sauce yet. Tell them to put the sauce on the side, so you can just pour the sauce when you're ready to eat. The garlic eggplant is equally delicious! There is absolutely no need to go to Bellaire to have authentic chinese cuisine. Not just good enough for a neighborhood Chinese restaurant, but better!

MY REVIEW: I love, love, LOVE this restaraunt!!!!! The people are super-super nice there! Service is wonderful and if you need anything extra they can provide it. . .usually at no extra cost! (i.e. Chopsticks, sauces, etc.) The food is tasty and hot when we pick it up! The #43 is my favorite, the egg rolls are awesome, my husband and kids love the wonton soup, and they even help me pick things out for my 3 Toddlers to eat! They love the food there! We also have a Chinese foreign exchange student living with us and he even loves the food there! Special orders are usually not a problem for them! They make his order special for him because he wants different things than what is on the menu!! I highly recommend this place!!!!!

MY REVIEW: When this little restaurant opened up in our neighborhood I was excited but leery. I was afraid it would be the same as so many other chinese restaurants...food that all tastes the same...boring and luke warm. However, our experience with Hoi Yin has been just the ooposite. The food is always steaming hot and the portions are huge! We always are able to take some home for lunch or a midnight snack. :-) We also enjoy the fact that if we want soemthing "extra spciy" they are very willing to do that for us...The food is delicious. It is obvious that the food is made fresh when you order. It hasn't sat in sauce all day long.

This is a great little neighborhood resturant and I reccomend it highly!
