MY REVIEW: Fantastic addition to Fort Bend! Easily the best high end restaurant! Chef Frederic is very creative and accomodating. He will even create something special if requested a couple of days in advance! I have been to 2 wine tastings in addition to dinner and lunch. Fish specials are not to be missed. Had the Sable the first visit and the whole table ended up ordering it! His wife, Michelle, is very gracious and warm. Even took my 13 year old daughter to experience something more than the usual kid places. She loved it!

MY REVIEW: If you're looking for an intimate environment and a remarkable dining experience Aura is the restaurant for you!
Great cuisine and a fantastic staff combine to offer what to me is the best dining experiences that we've had in Houston. Chef Frederic Perrier and his wife Michelle have created a gem that shines brightly in Missouri City. My wife and I have been fortunate to have lived in Europe (and even attend several classes at the Cordon Bleu school in Paris) and dine at some of the worlds most reknowned restaurants- Aura offers a combination of the wonderful tastes and quality of that food without the pretentiousness of some of those establishments.
The food is a wonderful combination of American cuisine with a French influence that brings to the table a remarkable blend of only the freshest ingredients and exquisite preparation. The set menu offers a strong variety of dishes and the daily specials serve to augment that selection. It's great to understand that Chef Perrier personally selects the best products that local markets offer and creates his dishes from those.
We have dined there on numerous occasions and never been disappointed with the service or the quality of the food and the experience- that includes attending a party that was catered by Aura. If you're looking to truly enjoy a lunch or dinner, Aura is a great find!

MY REVIEW: The Perrier's have out-done themselves again. Chef Perrier, aka. Frenchy, is among the top Chefs in the city in my opinion. The menu is terrific and fluid. You never know what will show up on it and that's exciting in itself because the food here is delectable. From Buffalo Sliders laced with Foie Gra to Filet Mignon that melts in your mouth, you will not be disappointed. And the great thing is that the prices are very reasonable ranging from $12-$28. You would think the prices would be more due to the professionalism of the staff and the fact that Chef Perrier usually tries to visit every table. You don't get that kind of personal service in any restaturant these days.
One of the nights we were there, we were celebrating a birthday in our family. This was fun and even more memorable because they served up the untraditional bright pink cotton candy with a tiny sparkler stuck it in! As we were celebrating they also brought out complimentary Chocolate Bread Pudding. Now, I'm not a fan of any bread pudding, but Freddie's was wonderful!!
If you have an opportunity, do not miss the chance to eat at the quaint little restaaurant called Aura. Your tastebuds will thank you!!!

MY REVIEW: This is Chef Perrier's new restaurant. After his old restaurant closed on Highway 6 about 5 years ago, they are trying again, but this time, on their own, with no partner.
The food is EXCELLENT, the wine list good, the service very good as well. I recommend the stuffed pork roll. Order it medium rare.

MY REVIEW: 1. Strong points: Excellent, inspired, French influenced food. Courteous, attentive service. Quaint atmosphere.
2. Weak points: (a.) Very popular at the moment ... so reservations are recommended, if not required, on Thursday through Saturday evenings. In spite of this, the restaurant didn't feel over-crowded or loud. Read more in the ambiance section that follows. (b.) location? Way out in Stafford suits us just fine (we live in Sugar Land) but this is likely too far for inner loop foodies to get to.
3. Specialties: Steaks, pork chops, fish, and chicken prepared with French expertise but in a straightforward, unpretentious way. There are numerous, off-the-menu specials to choose from.
4. Starters: ranging from $6-$13; we ordered and shared the foie gras appetizer. Seared whole duck liver was served in a rich wine reduction sauce with pieces of roasted beets, golden raisins, and chestnuts. It was very good. Next time we will go for the ‘surf and turf’ which looks like a creative scallop & beef combination. They also have “sliders” (bite sized burgers) with patties made of buffalo meat.
4. Entrees: ranging from $15-$27; in the mood for beef, we ordered the filet mignon and the rib eye special. Our entrees were served simply with mashed potatoes (mine), fries (hers) and green beans.
5. Drinks: They have a tiny bar that seats about four people. Presently, I believe they only serve beer and wine (okay with me). The wine list has many interesting choices and contains a few bottles in the low $20 range.
6. Desserts: Creme brulee, profiteroles, bread pudding, and on this night: a baked to order apple torte. We ordered the creme brulee … which was served with a chocolate monkey!
7. Ambiance: Quaint in size, decorated stylishly but casual in feel relative to the average French restaurant in the US. There are no table cloths or fancy linens for instance. I wouldn’t wear shorts, jeans or running shoes here though. It’s more a khaki and oxford shirt kind of place.

MY REVIEW: We love Aura. Great food with a french flair. Super service. Great wine list. Menu changes often, so always lots of new items to try. We have followed Frederic Perrier to each of his resturants and this is the best. Small, cozy and friendly! Viva LA Frenchie!
