MY REVIEW: Just had lunch there, had a lengua, barbacoa, pastor, and beef fajita taco's, very good. Although I wish more places would just put cilantro and onions on EVERY taco, not just some, and NO TOMATO'S, but they were very very good. The barbacoa was tender, if underflavored though, and needed salt. The pastor was very vinegary and tasty, the lengua was tender, yet underseasoned, the beef fajita was great. I reccommend this restaurant to anyone, we had 3 meals, 3 drinks for $20!!

MY REVIEW: Ok, I've been here 5 times now with my Dad & I have to say that Eric nailed it perfectly in terms of description. Hole in the wall, but wonderful food!!
A friend of mine recommended this place and said it was very good, but when I pulled up, it wasn't quite what I thought it would be. (Looks like it used to be a B*K in its previous life.) Well, still feeling confident in what I was told, I am so glad that I tried it.
The food is great & consistent. My Dad abolutely loves the nopalitos (cactus) & says that they are fresh & well prepared. (I'll take his word for it as I'm not fond of them.) I've had everything from their fajitas (chicken & beef) to tortas (milanesa & chicken) to bfasts & it has all been really good. The bfast is nothing to necessarily drive out of the way for, but the rest of it is!
Don't let the appearances fool you....

MY REVIEW: Weak points: it is a hole in the wall.
Strong points: it is a hole in the wall.
Hole in the walls, off the beat places sometimes may be very good. This is one of them.
The food here is very good with a surprising wide assortment of authentic Mexican food. I stumbled in here where I was waiting on a vehicle repair and this was the only place around. Very few patrons speaked English, so I knew it was authentic. I ordered a lengua torta (tongue sandwich Mexican style). It melted in my mouth with the most tender and delicate flavored lengua meat I have had. For those of you (me too) gringos who are turned off by tongue, you are really missing something here.
Next week I talked my wife (reluctantly) into trying it again with me. She was very impressed with the food. I tried the torta again just to see if it was still as good, and it was. A full dinner was $5.99! Somewhere else location in closer to town they would be able to get much higher prices on there. I felt sorry for them because of the location, but I guess they can't charge more for their local clintele. Two dinners and drinks, with a beer totaled to less than $15.
It is so nice to stumble on to someplace like this. I will be there many times.
